NBA 2020-21 Season Catch-All

They changed it so you can do the commercial free Hulu now. Instead of the price for 3, it's whatever $ off the total bill.

Podcasts, kinda depends what you’re interested in. Thinking Basketball from Ben Taylor is pretty good for hardcore analytical stuff. The Woj Pod for news/culture/asskissing. The Old Man and the Three (JJ Reddick) can be good depending on the guest, which is more often than not.

I’ll probably subscribe to whatever Howard Beck sets up as his new podcast.

Domantas Sabonis looks so much like Pau Gasol, with that beard he’s been sporting.

Podcasts ive been enjoying are, in addition to the aforementioned ones:

No Dunks
Hollinger and Duncan
The Mismatch

Steph still Steph.

Drops 31 in each half for 62 against the Blazers.

Kyrie is Kyrieing again.

Thanks for all of the podcast recommendations. My thoughts so far after listening to a few episodes each of these, hopefully someone else finds this helpful:

Woj Pod - Blind Evil was totally spot on with his 'ass kissing' description. Seems like he just has people on so they can do PR, and his interview style is terrible. He might be good at being the point man for league 'leaks', but he is not a good interviewer. Crossed this one off.

Old Man and the Three - entertaining, but not really basketball focused, more like basketball-adjacent. I'll stay subscribed and probably listen to guests that interest me

Hoop Collective - this is more of what I am looking for with a focus on actual games, players, strategies, transactions, etc - not crazy about it being 2-3 times a week since I prefer a bit of a wider view like Lowe gives

Still need to check out a few of the others, thanks all!

Is Kyrie finally proving the world is flat?

He's mysteriously out for the week. At first because he was too distraught over the events last week. Now it's revealed he went to a big birthday party.

Sounds like the birthday party was traumatizing.

So basically Kyrie's actions show going to his sister's birthday party was more important to him than playing in the next two weeks of games, if I am reading the situation right? And he just didn't show up one day at work and didn't tell his employers in advance or why?

If I was one of his teammates I would be pissed. If I was his boss, I would be trying to get rid of him. I wonder what Durant is thinking right now.

Yeah, he’s really something.

In other news, all aboard the Lamelo hype train in Charlotte! Youngest triple double ever.

Harden not at practice today.

Woj tweeting that trade offers with Sixers and Nets are being considered.

I watched the Sixers and the Heat attempt 101 3’s last night. That was not a good product to watch. I guess that’s what most people want to see these days but as a middle age guy I found it tough to watch.

I think there's a happy medium. I prefer the more fluid, modern game as opposed to watching a center or PF go ISO, but 101 3's is insane.

Wojboom

Harden's heading to Brooklyn.

Cool I can casually cheer for Houston again like I did with Hakeem and Clyde.

Nets put all of their draft picks on the table (four 1sts and three pick swaps). Wonder who else they gave up. This is directly tied to Kyrie being Kyrie too.

It's now a three way trade. So far it looks like this.

Nets:
Harden

Rockets:
4 1st
4 1st Round Pick Swaps
Caris LeVert
Dante Exum
Rodions Kurucs

Cavaliers:
Jarrett Allen
Tuarean Prince

Oklahoma City could have saved the whole league a lot of trouble by just holding onto Harden in the first place.

It's a good day for Houston fans, honestly. That's a giant haul and they were headed towards rebuilding no matter want. No team with Harden can win a title unless they somehow convince Harden to play differently.

This video is killing me, though.

Yeah, I like 3's but its just too much now. Especially when there's no rim pressure. Teams trading early shot clock missed 3's is the worst.

Please keep adding teams. Just make this as ridiculous as possible.

Good day to roll out this classic.

Joking aside there are likely more trades coming. Cleveland currently has:

Drummond
Nance Jr.
Love
Allen
Javale.

There has to be another trade or 2 coming.

I don’t know why the Cavs got inti this mess.

What will be a late first for Jarrett Allen seems like a good idea to me?

Correct. I’m mad the Hornets didn’t get in on it actually, they could really use a player like Allen who’s in the same trajectory as Lamelo, PJ Washington, and Miles Bridges.

Good for Houston and good for LeVert to get out of there.

Good luck Steve Nash.

Someone on Twitter pointed out the irony of Mike D’antoni having to coach Harden again, and I chuckled.
