Stardew Valley: A Spiritual 'Successor' to Harvest Moon

I'll be starting a new farm when it reaches consoles for sure.

Spouse and I stalled on a coop playthrough shortly before the drop and haven't gotten back in. The aggressive timer in coop was starting to cause stress once our to-do list included the desert region.

That’s quite an update—according to the patch notes there’s a whole new area, along with a ton of other stuff.
I sort of fell off the farm I started when 1.4 came out, but when 1.5 hits switch maybe this will get its hooks back into me.

The beach farm is a fun change of scene and very pretty. It's fantastic how he keeps adding major new stuff while still keeping the essential game intact.

Rezzy: There is a mod called Multiplayer Time which pauses the game when all players are paused (for example, in your status screen). You can enable and disable it with F3. It really saves our butts when a long cut-scene happens late at night.

Anyone know if there's a mod that allows for save anywhere/anytime? The one I used to use isn't being updated.

Finally after finding out the base price is now $15 US on Steam, I went and picked it up. The best days are the rainy days when you get all that extra time to do a dungeon crawl.

Wait til winter. Nothing grows in winter so you can spend days down there.

... this was supposed to be my "In Case of Bad Reaction to the COVID Vaccine" but while thankfully I haven't felt a thing, I'm almost nearing the end of Year 1 since I started Thursday.

Actually, you can make and plant winter wild seeds. After the first harvest, make more seeds and plant more crops than before until you can fill all the fields on your farm. It is pretty easy to clear over $100k on just the last crop rotation of winter off nothing more than wild winter seeds, especially if by then you have decent sprinklers and the talent that provides for iridium starred foraging. By the 2nd year with more space and enough seeds ready to go I clear more than a quarter-million bucks in crops during that winter.

Actually, I'm actively trying to avoid playing in this way.

That is cool. But stuff can be grown in winter for a tidy profit and minimal effort.

So keen!
