Video Game Deals Catch-All

So can anyone recommend a game for about $5 on Steam? I'm skipping the Starbucks this morning.

It there a way to sort by cheapest and lowest rating? I want to know what the bottom of the barrel can look like.

I keep looking at and not buying Yakuza 0 for $4.99. I hear good things about that one but just don't have the time to invest right now.

Edit: Scrolling through the wishlist of stuff I wish I had time for: Heat Signature was well received. Deadly Tower of Monsters. Homeworld Remastered Collection. Invisible inc.

If you love cheese and dumb deadly tower of monsters is great.

Never mind. Found one. Shigatari. An FTL like samurai career simulator. This sounds like it might just suck my life away for $3.

I've played a lot of low-price games over the past couple of years, along with some that go on steep discount.

Here are a few that I really enjoy.

Oops; I clearly spent too long making my list.

If you like puzzle games, I can highly recommend this.

Hook is pretty engaging for the full $1.00. It's a no brainer for less.

The same developer has klocki (no relation) that is also really enjoyable.

I have been playing Avengers non-stop for about a week. It is extremely shallow, but also very fun.

I also started playing Avengers, and it's been good. The story so far is engaging and enjoyable. Really, the most difficult thing for me has been adapting to the different heroes as each has a very different play style. It's very tough when you're playing a mission as Ms Marvel, but then are suddenly put into control of Thor when he's introduced. Their play-style and patterns are so different that it really took some time for me to wrap my head around.

I think I'm interested in this game now:

* Commit seppuku to earn persistent bonuses
* Cut down defenseless peasants and give their hearts to an oni
* Get wasted on sake and visit a kagema

Prime Gaming has some new additions claimable from the Twitch client:
Bridge Constructor Playground
Void Bastards
Alt Frequencies
Along the Edge
When Ski Lifts Go Wrong

... I might actually install Void Bastards. Somehow that one got onto my radar and I can't remember why.

Void Bastards is really fun! It's a sort of roguelite attempt at immersive sims.

I really enjoyed what I played of Void Bastards, I want to go back soon.

I was a bit put off by the style of FPS, but once I realised it was more a resource-management game, I started having a lot more fun.

Wonderful visual style too <3

I played/beat Void Bastards in one weekend and it was a blast!

Oh I was getting this mixed up with Objects in Space.

FYI, for anyone with a 360 or XB1 (likely), and interested in Too Human (not likely) it is free. I guess after all the drama, deliberation, delisting, and dust settling, Epic took over ownership and just let Microsoft put it out there for everyone.

Actually, that's me, so thanks!

Crying Suns, a tactical rogue-lite, js free on epic.

Nice. I felt like I missed out on it with the Humble Bundle that it was featured in a few months back, but I couldn't justify keeping the subscription active for just one game.

And wow... Battlefront II will be up on the 14th. That actually feels a bit nuts. Their active playerbase must be abysmal at this point.

I love it. FTL like, plus squadron combat, and officers you can use again between runs.

Thanks for the heads up!

Troubleshooter, on several community GotY lists recently, is 33% off on Steam this week.

Judgment (PS4) $21.97 on amazon.

So tempted! Trying to hold out until all the dlc is out.

This week at Epic: STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II: Celebration Edition (*Customization content released after December 20, 2019 is not included in the Celebration Edition.)

Next week at Epic: Galactic Civilizations III

Bomber Crew (steam) is free on humble bundle. This was free on Epic not to long ago also.
