NFL 2020: Week 15

Marty Hurney, who no longer has a place in Legion's sig, also doesn't have a job, either.

Hopefully Carolina can find someone with a better ass.

Hey, my ass is better than Marty Hurney's. It's my time to shine.

Statler and Waldorf on MNF? Hell, make them regulars!

Kornacki as Mr Playoffs is...good? Since Football Outsiders went full subscription mode, I can't get percentages easily so I'll take what I can get.

If you scroll up to the OP, there's a link to the NYT playoff percentages.

Edit: Speaking of percentages, I would have put the chance that the Panthers fired GM Marty Hurney at zero percent. Welp, I was 100 percentage points off on that one.

The fact that Matt Rhule has lit into Teddy B two weeks in a row now suggested that something was way off at Panthers HQ. Today's sh!tcanning (for the second time!) of Hurney would seem to confirm it.

Kinda confused as from the game I saw last week Carolina didn't look all that bad.

Hard to tell as the Packers love playing down to their opponents (or maybe they really are not that much better). The goal line fumble was massive and the game looked like it might get out of control. Queue a drop by Lazard at the end of the first half to to setup a FG to pad the score and the Packers were pretty meh for the rest of the game.

Bridgewater doesn't look like a franchise QB but I would rank him above career backup. He definitely has a future as a stop gap qb or a backup that can come in and actually be capable.

I think the Packers were bored on Saturday. They came out and blew the doors off of Carolina, then coasted. I've seen Carolina do the exact same thing, especially in 2015 when they were clearly the better team but let off the gas.

No, Carolina isn't terrible, at least not all of the time. But they're not good enough to beat teams like the Packers, especially when a first and goal situation turns into zero points.

Meanwhile, I think Teddy is out after this season despite being fine more often than not. Rhule was on his ass when he rushed things at the end of the Denver game. And then Rhule really b!tched him out in public after the goal-line fumble on Saturday.

The problem, however, isn't mostly with Teddy. It's with Rhule and his handpicked OC Joe Brady, both of whom wanted Teddy to begin with. Rhule could have called on Teddy to slow things down in the Denver game. And who TF called a QB sneak?! You could see from Teddy's body language that he wasn't into it. If that's the best Rhule/Brady could do ... grrr

Meanwhile, the DC of one of the worst defenses in the league is Rhule's buddy from Baylor. I'm impressed that Phil Snow has made Jeremy Chinn into a DPOY candidate -- seriously, Chinn is good -- but I don't know why he schemes up a defense that insists on leaving opposing players wide f--king open so often.

Matt Rhule isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Now that Rhule will be the quasi GM -- and that's what the Hurney firing is about -- that @sshole is going to set the team back five years at least.

Edit: Forgot all about that weird FG decision at the end of the Packers game. According to Peter King's FMIA, Carolina had a 5.5 percent chance of winning before they kicked the field goal ... and a 4 percent chance after. I wonder if Matt Rhule realizes that "analytics" has to do with math and sh!t. Seriously.

You missed Enix's double post about it, silly rabbit.

The Eagles got their ring after the Chip Kelly Experience + Gutting. It can happen again!

Statler and Waldorf looked like Legion and... let's go with garion this week.

I'm going to go with snarky.

TJ Watt's going to destroy anyone who so much as breathed on his brother when he got hurt.

Boy oh boy. The 2-win team is playing like an 11-win team, and the 11-win team looks worse than the pre-Week 15 Jets. And somehow Ryan Finley is the best QB on the field by a lot.

What a weird and wacky season.

Who dey?

Statler: "Who was he throwing that ball to?"

Waldorf: "He was throwing it at you; you've been on his case all game!"

Statler: "He wasn't even close. That's why I've been on his case!"

Definitely early contact on that deep pass defended, but DBs that turn their head and play the ball will always get more leeway on that.

Remember when we talked about Dwayne Haskins not being too bright?

Haskins was spotted partying maskless at a strip club following the team's game vs Seattle, mere hours after his first start since his benching.

You ever have one of those moments where you're listening to the perfect song? As I read that, I'd thrown on The Tragically Hip's Road Apples, and the song "On the Verge" was on, and, just as I read that, the lyrics "Well, I don't know what came over me, I'm too dumb for words" came on.

Remember when we talked talked about Dan Snyder being accused of sexual misconduct?

The WFT paid out $1.6 million to settle an allegation, reports the Washington Post.

Louis Riddick to interview for the Jags GM job.

I'm sure every GM candidate is telling the Jags the same thing: "don't you dare win one of the last two games".

Talk radio in DC is having a field day right now. What a cluster

So, odds on Snyder just going away?

Might be sooner than we think, or never.

Apparently the team's minority owners are trying to force Snyder to sell.

Or those same minority owners might be trying to get Snyder to allow them to sell their shares.

Meanwhile, the Carolina-Washington game that was scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday has been moved to the 4:05 slot to ... give Haskins more time to recover from the cooties? I have no idea. As a Panthers fan, though, I love the idea of Haskins starting because ... (whispers) ... he's a terrible NFL QB.

I can understand people complaining that indoor dining should be allowed... I really don't think Bars should be but ok but I understand that maybe you can take precautions, limit capacity, stay outside.

Who could possibly think Strip Clubs are something that should be open during this pandemic?

With Nick Mullens injuring his elbow and requiring surgery, the Niners have signed Josh Rosen off of the Buccaneers practice squad.

This begins The Resurrection of the Rosen. He will dazzle Shanahan in these two weeks and make the Niners roster in 2021, and be rebuilt into the QB my draft write-up predicted he would be.

Yeah I don't think you could pay me to receive a lap dance right now.

Maybe if she showed me her vaccine card.

Well you could just do what Germany did.

Rosen still gonna keep throwing INTs like Jimmy G, so should be a good fit.

Washington has stripped Dwayne Haskins of his captaincy.

So, yeah, definitely on the JaMarcus Expressway.

When do we get the Sad Legion in a Haksins jersey pics?
