I'm tempted to roll for Rosaria, but I don't want to risk my pity on Albedo. Has it been confirmed that the new 4 stars enter the normal pool after their rate-up banners expire? As long as I have a chance for her later on, I'll probably pass for now.
Yes, when 1.1 launched they said that Diona and Xinyan will be added to the standard banner in 1.2. I'm assuming that also means they will be added to non-rate up pool in the event banner too, since I can't see what that wouldn't be the case.
Have the majority of you guys been playing on PC?
I tried it briefly on PS4 (not pro) and it felt clunky!

I am primarily PC, though I log into Android for purchases. Would rather have one less entity with my credit card info.
Not sure how anybody plays on mobile, but I thought a controller would work well enough. What feels clunky?

Yeah, I play on PC, but usually use a controller. For me it feels more intuitive; I can keep track of my buttons and switch characters easier, although I do lose out on speed and precision on my archers.
There is "something" about the PS4 version that for the time (brief) I have played it feels off. Tere is also a UI element on the lower right that seems to be off TV grid..
Is the PS4 version stable?

I'm on PC. I primarily play K/M, but I've started doing controller every now and then since they added control customization in.
Are you referring to the performance or how it feels to control? If you're referring to the controls, I did find it a bit clunky initially, specifically in regards to having dodge and sprint on the same button. That took me several hours to get used to. It felt fine with a bit of practice. The other aspect that felt a bit clunky is the gliding and jumping off ledges. Sometimes it feels like you should be able to glide when you can't. It isn't as smooth as something like Breath of the Wild, but again, it felt fine with a bit of practice. Otherwise, I think the game feels pretty solid.
The UI is definitely a bit clunky for PC players because it's very similar to the mobile UI. This is apparent when doing something like cooking, where you have to move your mouse across the screen to click the confirm button for each finished dish. Much like the dodge/sprint, I got used to it with a bit of practice and mostly just don't notice anymore. I'd say Genshin Impact has quite a few of these kinds of minor hiccups. Thankfully, I haven't found many of them to have any real impact on my enjoyment of the game.
So, a couple days ago I was struck by an odd thing I didn't realize mattered in the game. Swim speeds (and run, sprint, and climb) are affected by which character you are using. I figured this out when I was able to swim to an island for one of those meal deliveries with Barbara, but failed due to damage, and then repeated with Chongyun and didn't make the swim before running out of stamina. Here's the one video that turned up on my first search:
Yeah, having played a lot of Klee and Diona, I was aware of some of the height "system," at least as far as the shorter characters go. I should also point out that there are a few places in the game that the children can pass through that none of the other characters can (you can't change characters in one of these areas, even to another child).
I came across these handy sheets for the artifact domains, which shows what enemies, artifacts, and bonuses each domain contains:
So, I've played on all three platforms. I started on PS4 Pro, currently play on PC/Mobile. Reason for the switch, I decided to buy a "entry-level" gaming laptop (for reference: Ryzen 5 4600H, 16GB Ram, GTX 1650, SSD).
It looks a little better on PC versus the Pro, but not that big a difference. However, load times are WAY faster, probably because of the SSD. Load times on my iPhone 11 are also really fast versus the Pro.
Having experienced all three control schemes, too, I don't think there's a perfect one. I personally prefer KB/M out of the three with controller a close second.
I do find it playable on mobile, though. If my phone were any smaller, I don't think that'd be the case, but I love the crossplay between PC and Mobile. That's one of the other reasons I wanted to switch to PC. I don't play for long sessions on mobile, but being able to pop in for a little bit is nice. The thing that took longest to get used to was controlling the camera.
As others have implied, what feels best on mobile are the menus. They're okay on PC/PS4, but clearly the design favors mobile.
I can't really speak to the regular PS4 but I have definitely heard it struggles a bit. That raises concerns for me as well about a Switch version.
It would be nice if they added controller support to iOS/Android.
The analysis here might be useful to those of us trying to get more damage to push further into the Spiral Abyss
Will this game ever be available for Ubuntu?

Which is this "entry level laptop"?

Yes, I just watched this as well. I could tell the climb from +16 to +20 on artifact leveling had increased, but I didn't realize it was that steep. Well, I will certainly be shifting to outfitting two full teams with +16s before working on any +20s from here on out.
Piggybacking off your link, might as well share some other GI YouTube channels I've found to be useful, because good lord, there is a lot of crap to sift through. I don't think I've ever followed a game that attracted so many clickbait, BS videos. Maybe it's a gacha thing?
The channel peanut3141 referred to is JinJinx and Tuner. If you want a deeeep dive into the math side of the game, this is the channel to watch. These guys transitioned to Genshin Impact from Monster Hunter, where I also followed them for their incredibly detailed mechanical breakdowns. Most of their advice is focused on getting the best efficiency out of your resources, like the previously mentioned video.
Next is Enviosity. This channel is notable because he is the only content creator I have seen that has stuck entirely to F2P characters. This means MC, Noelle, Xiangling, Lisa, Amber, Barbara, and Kaeya only. He managed to clear all the way through Spiral Abyss floor 12 with these 7 (meaning one of his two teams only has 3 characters) and has a bunch of Abyss specific tip videos that are much more helpful for most players than the Diluc/Venti spamfests you see on most other channels.
The last two are Dreamy and Krush SG. Both channels make some nice guide and/or character analysis videos.
Fiscal is also ftp as she was available in the last event.

Not sure if he's changed his shtick entirely, but I just watched him on Twitch after this recommendation. He was rolling with a Keqing/Qiqi squad and upgrading an artifact to +20 while the rest of the team had +0s. He was also dissing Bennett as a terrible character, which is a...novel...take.

Fixed that for you.

He made an Abyss video with Fischl while she was free, but he removed her because she is no longer guaranteed for players starting after that event.

AFAIK, he has a couple accounts on the EU and Asia servers where he actually rolls with his F2P currency and messes around with them. His NA account is the F2P one and the focus of his YouTube channel. I haven't watched him on Twitch, so I'm not entirely sure if that's his focus there too.
The Bennett thing is just a meme on his channel. I think he got a copy of him when he rolled the one time on the Noelle banner, so he has a lvl 1 copy of him that never gets any play.
Here's him beating Abyss 12 with the 7 F2P characters, no constellations, refinement 1 weapons:
For anyone that was still thinking about rolling for Zhongli before the next banner change, there are buffs coming for both Zhongli and the geo archetype as a whole in 1.3. My Ningguang will be very pleased by this.
Looks like I played more than I intended in the last month. Gonna hit battle pass level 50 with the dailies tomorrow. Got another constellation on xinyan last night, and should be able to do 1 more 10-wish on that banner tomorrow. Really hoping for another Chongyun pull.
Given the changes coming to Zhongli and the fact I already had one and was close to pity I decided to try again and holy cow my luck!

Wow... I am equal parts happy for you and cursing you under my breath out of jealousy
Wow, that's one hell of a pull.
Also, for whatever it's worth, anyone with either Xinyan or Chogyun on C1 with a few spare rolls might consider looking for their C2s -- both are pretty spectacular.
As you can see I have a full constellation Xinyan and she is my current main. I enjoy her playstyle more the Keqing and she hits like a freight truck. I got incredibly lucky on my pulls, my biggest struggle now is all the mats I need to get everything levelled. I figure I have some time on Zhongli since the changes to him are just in beta.

Ah, very nice. How does that C6 work out? I don't really use charged attacks on my main claymore user (Chongyun), so I'm very curious how it would be building a playstyle around the claymore charged attack.

It is a bit fiddly to control the spin but it hits pretty hard, but I haven't really built around that so to speak.
Arkon's roll made my jaw drop.
I did one final 10-wish this morning after completing the battle pass, just hoping for another Chonyun. The very first thing that popped was... a Xinyan, and I was a bit disappointed. Not as much as that one 10-wish that only gave me a 4-star weapon, but still. So I got a C3 Xinyan now, and also got my C2 Chonyun before the end of the pull! So I ended up super happy with my final pull on the banner.
Nice, congrats
Here's the next full banner:
I'm not sold on Albedo, but this is going to be difficult for me to resist. I don't have Bennett yet, I would love to get a C1 Sucrose for the extra skill charge, and I'm aiming to C6 Fischl at some point (at C2 currently) for machine gun birdo. It's pretty much a perfect 4* banner for me. I'm currently at 60/90 on my pity, so not much wiggle room either.
If Albedo ends up being a good support for Ningguang, that would make my decision much easier. I'll probably hold out at least until someone does that analysis for me.
Yeah, I would love to get more constellations on Fischl and Sucrose, but I don’t think it’s worth rolling on this banner. I’ll just have to trust my luck with the standard wishes and continue to horde for one of the rumored characters I’m really interested in.
