I got worried when I read this week how Pete was convinced that the team's "identity" was smash mouth football and that he couldn't wait to get back to running the ball.
Will Fuller suspended six games for PED violation. He took a "medication" that he believed was okay. It wasn't. Boom.
He's been bad... since 2017 its been a steady downhill slide culminating in this seasons implosion. His decision making is bad.. his throws inaccurate and his pocket presence is nil... Footwork is laughably bad, and he seems to have a complete lack of awareness of what the defense is doing and even what receivers he should be throwing to.
It still boggles my mind just HOW bad though. I keep expecting some sort of regression back in the positive direction, and it never comes.
Ravens had two more positives today and yet are still playing tomorrow. Basically this could really blow up in the NFL faces if 4-5 days from now multiple Steelers start testing positive.

Ugh that would suck. Whatever the Ravens have been doing to avoid COVID isn't working. Hopefully they fix it.

Problem is Steelers have folks in Covid protocol, so the entirety of the blame won't fall on the Ravens.
The NFL clearly can't get the players to give enough of a sh*t to stop going to bars and clubs or whatever. Now that fines are coming out, we'll see. Young, rich dudes filled with testosterone just don't GAF.

Just like the old saying: young, dumb, and full of c...ovid.
Sunday Night Football. Originally scheduled for Thursday. Then Sunday. Then Monday. And then Tuesday. Now Wednesday.
Did they play a song before?
If Carrie Underwood isn't singing it's not really SNF.

Smuednesday Nightfernoon Football, fell the excitement.
Football question: the steelers D took their time getting up from the pile on the second to last play of the game. I've never understood why that doesn't happen every time a D is trying to run down the clock?

I wonder what miscommunication happened that they dropped Kenny Stills like the day before this happened. I would not want to work with Fuller's agent.

I think the initial containment worked, but then everyone went and ate a Thanksgiving dinner.

Because the officials can call delay of game on the defense for doing exactly that. Doing it once in a while, you can get away with, but push your luck and they will flag it.

The one in today's game was definitely extended, but it always seems like the defense gets up *faster* during the last 2 minutes of a half than the rest of the half. Feels like there's a balance to be struck that results in a little more time coming off than the QB usually getting to spike the ball with 30 seconds left on the play clock.
It is so weird watching NFL on a lunch break.

The offense is under no obligation to wait for the defense. If the defense is dicking around after the play during a two minute drill, they're going to get burned.

Yep. Also the officials are going to be way more sensitive to a defender impeding the prompt retrieval and placement of the ball in that situation.
RG3 has a 28.5 passer rating.
That's worse than Trace McSorley's 39.6, and McSorley has completed only 1 of 5 passes for 7 yards.

Definitely can't mess around, but if you've just tackled the ball carrier, it's hard for the ball to go anywhere until the refs are close.
TJ Watt is close to retirement, right?

And then McSorley the total Chad threw one more pass and Hollywood took it 70 yards for a TD. Too bad Baltimore with 3 timeouts and a 2 minute warning couldn't stop Pittsburgh from getting 3 first downs and ending the game.

Not likely, but the Steelers think Bud Dupree tore his ACL, if that helps.
Seeing all these throws in the sizzle real in the beginning made me immediately say "mechanics" and that's exactly what Brett focuses on first. You can see the lack of velocity on those balls. It's not rainbow throwing, but it's clear he's trying to fit balls into spots he can't hit right now.
TJ Watt is close to retirement, right?
I would free him up to do more totally-not-annoying Subway commercials with his mom.
Here's an article describing it better than I could: https://www.behindthesteelcurtain.co...
The defense isn't at risk here, 14 players get up from the pile before the ball can be spotted.
