If you are looking for a relaxing jigsaw puzzle like game, try Glass Masquerade, which is now on sale on Steam for $1.74. Each of the puzzles is a stained glass window broken into irregular sized pieces. Select a shadow piece and it fills in its design and rotates into the correct orientation. Placing the piece in the correct position can be more challenging that in sounds, but the process of finishing a puzzle is very satisfying.

Sublime. Thanks for the recommendation.

Mario Odyssey download codes included with Switch pro controllers this week.

Were down to $69 at Walmart and some others this morning. So free Odyssey. Great deal for new Switch owners, or those who haven't got around to Mario yet.

Thats a great way to add value to an expensive purchase. I've chafed at the price of console controllers over the past decade, would love it if more retailers or manufacturers started including game keys to soften the blow.

Cyberpunk 2077 $49.93 at Wal-mart. I'll probably pick it up in a year or two. Epic might give it away for free then. Really want it but I never buy games when they are new.

Prime Gaming has some new games posted.
You can claim Battlefield 3 on Origin
Games to add to your Twitch client:
HyperDot
Wizard of Legend
Sigma Theory: Global Cold War
Turmoil
Close to the Sun
The Spectrum Retreat
Lost Horizon
and a few more that I think have already been mentioned here. Prime seems to have been trickling them out over the past few weeks.
Enjoy!

Epic Store has Cave Story+.
Next week is Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny. Two games I just cannot be bothered to finish, despite being up my metaphorical alley.

I want to want to play Pillars of Eternity, but, try as I might, I don't want to play Pillars of Eternity.

I finished Tyranny but could not even make a dent in Pillars.

The game starts off with some really fascinating situation/context building with the vignettes that make up your initial choices. After that it seems like a fine and interesting RPG but despite 2 tries I haven't managed any kind of progress.

I was complaining about this in another form, about how I can neglect health, sanity, and family for Civ-based games but I can't seem to muddle through AoM: Planetfall or Endless Legend. Top be fair, I haven't tried very hard, but that's the problem: the games shouldn't be daunting to get into.

I've started hitting the same issue with every RPG. I don't have the time or energy to replay the games like I used to, so I always play as wide as possible to cover as much as possible. So I usually am constantly checking guides instead of just playing. I even do that for the AC games and their relatively limited choices.

Both Wizard of Legend and Turmoil are worth a look if you are into their respective genres.

Pillars is the reason I won't buy Warhammer 40k Martyr. I realized there's a bunch of games out there that I enjoy thinking about playing FAR MORE than I actually enjoy playing.

I want to like Pillars, but a lot of RPG's have gotten to a point where one bad decision in the beginning (as early as character creation) can seriously handicap you at the end, and it makes me unable to make decisions without pulling up guides and seeing if there are any long term consequences of every choice. At that point I'm doing homework to play a game, spending twice as much time researching the choices than I am making them, and I lose interest.

Pretty much what happened to me, POE sated a thirst I had a couple years ago for a Baldur's Gate experience even BG couldn't provide me anymore, but having reached the final battle it was clear my main character was way too weak to win the fight, nor to defeat the evil creature at the bottom level of the huge dungeon in your house. Having already by then seen pretty much all the content of the vanilla game but unable to win it I just gave up. Tyranny I've been eyeing for a long while, so I'll be biting next week.

I've gotten to the point where I rarely enjoy games that force me to replay multiple times in order to experience all of the content. Considering the length of many games and the fact that there are 67,000 games already in my backlog, I think it's a more than reasonable expectation for games to require us to play through *once* and then move on. I especially dislike when this "multiple playthrough" behavior is reinforced by achievements/trophys that require it. I'm tired of multiple endings. I want the "good" ending every time!

And I don't want to make any choices that end up wasting most of the time I spend playing the game the first time through.

Oh and I guess since this is the deals thread, I think there is a deal out there....ah somewhere! Yes, right over there! Over that hill....or maybe under it. Perhaps. I'm sure of it!

Edited blunder. Sorry

Edited.
*sigh* (quote is not edit)

ZOMG - Creeper World 4!!! (technically a deal since GOG has it for 10% off)

Somehow I've never heard of these games.

The Creeper World collection should be in the neighborhood of a few bucks on steam. Well worth it.

You could argue the games have been superseded by factorio and the like but I maintain they hold their own space. They aren't as complex with their tech trees but they have the unique "creep" mechanic that I find more compelling than waves of enemies.

Creeper World 3 in particular is magnificent; very highly recommended. I really liked their recent Particle Fleet, too. It will be a bit strange to do this all in 3D, but the foundation is more than solid. I'm super-excited this is out.

Agreed on both counts:
Particle Fleet is quite good.
The transition to 3D could be troublesome but the solid foundation looks to have survived the added dimension.

Hmm... Not seeing it. No banner and I can't find it when I search.

I did find the Enhanced Edition (no Director's Cut) for 9.99.
