Okay, I got the 120th star. That was insane. I'm not sure I would want to do that twice to get the 100% completion. Time for some Pikmin, maybe.
In reality, I wish 3D World or Galaxy 2 was out soon. I've been enjoying mainlining 3D Mario.
Fell Seal Arbiters Mark... It's half off on PS4 right now, should I buy it before sale ends tomorrow OR should I hold for a sale on Switch?
I like the look of it just enough for one or tother.
Yep it's a dp!
Luigi's Mansion or Link's Awakening?
Digital are both $40 at Amazon. Feel like that's probably as low as 1st party will go.
Can't decide which one or maybe both?
Of the two I'd definitely choose Link's Awakening, especially if you never played the original.
^ Seconded. The original is a fantastic game and the 2019 version is that rare modernized remake that I feel perfectly comfortable recommending instead of the original without caveat.
I am the opposite. I would choose Luigi's Mansion. I found the humor to be much more "fun" to play.
$20 for the XCOM2 collection is probably low enough for me to double-dip on one of my favorite games of all time. Even if the performance sucks ... well, I originally played it on a 2013 iMac, so I think I can handle it.
Any enabling/disabling on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3?
Any enabling/disabling on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3?
I enjoyed it for a while but didn't finish the story. The characters outside the 4 in your party gain no XP. So you're stuck either using them or switching to a new character when they are introduced because they start at your current level. Once you stop using someone they fall behind quickly. Then you have to grind previous levels if you want to catch up.
Just got frustrated with that and quit for a bit. Not sure if they ever patched any changes. I haven't went back to it in months.

I bought it day 1 with the season pack. And I quickly learned why I should not do that. I loved all the previous games, but this one never truly clicked for me. Bad camera, sluggish controls, poorly implemented game systems.
Thanks. MUA3’s on sale and I’m super interested in it, but thinking maybe it’s not quite enough with it for $47. Shame, cuz it seemed so promising and the lack of a significant drop in price made me think it held up. Maybe just the Nintendo tax, then. Think I’ll pass for now. Thanks again
Yeah still a Switch exclusive so price is holding. It's 73 reviewed on metacritic. Same price thing ($45 best ever) with Astral Chain (87 meta) and Daemon X Machina (69 meta). All three released from July-Sept 2019.

Both are two others I’d love to try but not at that price. Shame my library hasn’t gotten into switch games yet... and Redbox stopped all game rentals

For what it's worth Daemon X Machina is also on PC.
Ah, 6 months later, didn't see that. Well maybe that's why DXM is the first one to be on sale for $40 this week then, despite being the last of the 3 to release?
Still apparently there's extra content in the Switch version not in the PC version.
A number of us were selling Marvel to each other and I don't think any of us loved it, ya know?
I dropped it because I despised the camera. I couldn't believe that it was so awful.
Joining the echo chamber: the camera controls were just awful. You could somewhat mitigate it in settings if playing single player, but I was hoping to play with the boyfriend, and that was nigh impossible.
Further, the loading times take forever, which in a game with a lot of end-game grind is just not something that makes me want to come back.
I beat Super Lucky's Tale on PC last year (I think), and enjoyed it. I didn't realize NSLT was a remake of SLT - I thought it was all-new.
For what it's worth, SLT and NSLT are both available via Game Pass right now.

How are the load times for it on Switch? On my XB1X they felt astronomical.
Reporting back on Luigi’s Mansion 3. We’re not quite finished, but we’re close enough—only a floor or two left. My 7yo played 2nd player the whole game and my 3yo watched, and I’ll say that’s the only reason we’ll finish. I’d have moved on long ago. But they love to play.
Basically everything mentioned before sums up my thoughts—it’s charming at first, starts to slog, then really overstays it’s welcome by the end. Cut out that cat and it’d probably be okay—I went straight for a location guide the second time it showed up. But for what I wanted it to be, a game my kids and I could share, it’s pretty much perfect for that.

Rolled credits today. The end was quite enjoyable, basically the last two floors and final boss today and really enjoyed it. Daughter was so thrilled when we won
I thought this was worth mentioning.
It’s a common complaint in this thread that Nintendo first party titles are never discounted, but over the last four weeks, just about every first party game has been discounted to $40, some to $30. Smash Bros at $50 is the high mark. The new Zelda musou game hasn’t been discounted because it’s so new.
Anyway, plan ahead for next November!
And actually the new Hyrule Warriors was $10 off at Amazon briefly. Guess they had extra stock.
Reminder that DekuDeals is the best place to check Switch sales. Has multiple retailers, physical, and digital, including the eShop, with direct links to buy. And really good price history so you can know if something has been on sale cheaper before or if this is best price ever, etc.
I just snagged Fast RMX in a sale, and by Jove! It feels like a worthy successor to Wipeout comes along once every three generations (props to Quantum Redshift on the OG Xbox!), and this is the next jewel in that crown. Incredible that it runs so fast and smoothly on the rinky dink hardware of the Switch.

Not really all that incredible since it ran on the Wii U before it, uprezing to 1080p...ish. From a Eurogamer article:
That package features everything contained in the original Fast Racing Neo - and more. All of the original circuits are present, combined with all the DLC. On top of that there are six new tracks as well - the entire package crammed into just 835MB. Shin'en has a well-deserved reputation for pushing Nintendo hardware in new directions, and in Fast RMX, the team is clearly on a mission here - to extract as much as possible from Switch's mobile Tegra technology. The end result is a substantial increase in visual quality, effectively confirming that Nintendo's new console is capable of so much more than Wii U.

I no longer play my copy and would sell it. PM me if interested.
