Amazon has a Western Digital sale with a 4tb external that is cheaper than their Prime Day sale. Also a 6tb Blue Drive for 90 bucks. Good gravy

Is it worth buying these things now before Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Are both the drives you referenced external?

I just bought a 14TB WD drive that was on sale at Best Buy for $260 I think. Shucked it and put it in my PC because I was running out of space for my media libraries.

Injustice 2: Legendary Edition (PS4) $14.99 via Amazon, Gamestop and Steam. All DLC, costumes and characters. I like to dress up like wonder woman and tie my teddy bear up in my lasso of truth when playing this game.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Target is doing buy 2 get 1 free for a bunch of games.

This includes several brand new titles and some unreleased games, like Cyberpunk 2077, Monster Hunter Rise, and Hitman 3 (PS4).

The 4tb is external. The 6tb is 3.5 internal.

Looks like Walmart black friday is advertising all these Switch games for $30, starting Wed the 25th at 7pm online.

Splatoon 2
Super Mario Maker 2

Hatoful Boyfriend $1.99 via Steam. Its a dating sim where you date birds. I could tell you why a human girl is dating birds but that would be a spoiler.

Butcher is free on GoG. It is a 2D shooter

Keep in mind this is also available on GamePass for PC.

I'll admit I'm curious, but if it doesn't have laser guns, swords, or laser swords, it's hard for me to find the time.

Plus there's some history here on the topic:

Speaking of history, that was so long ago we had a different gorilla then!

Epic Freebies are live.
Elite
The World Next Door

Anyone got anything to say about The World Nextdoor? I've barely heard of it

I've played it. It's a pretty nice game that feels like it needed three or four months of funding so the devs could add more content and depth.

The story is fine, and the art is really neat. The combat introduces match-three elements into RPG combat and is a cool idea. However, it doesn't really develop into anything more interesting once you get the basics. At the end of the day, it felt a bit shallow and simple. I normally don't mind (or I even prefer) short games, but in this case it does hurt the game.

I put Elite on my Epic account, as well as both kids. Might be interesting to give them controllers and start a little noob wing with the kiddos at some point.

I grabbed Elite. Been meaning to try it for ages. Maybe this will make up for how disappointed I was with No Man's Sky when I picked it over Elite.

Playstation Plus for $42 from a real site, Green Man Gaming.

Or PS+ is currently $45 for a year directly from Sony. (I'd link to it, but linking to some parts of the PlayStation web store is weird now. Just look for it there or on your console.)

Come to the Dark Side: Green Man Gaming has Star Wars: Squadrons for $21.59. Looks to be the Origin version, but there is cross platform play, join us!

I'm going to be honest with you. Are you prepared for an almost vertical learning curve, a twenty to thirty hour "figuring out how to fly" phase, a lot of out of game reading, and then a long grind to find the fun? That's what it'll take to get into Elite in any significant way.

That's the historical low price for PC. It will go to $17 next week for console versions at Gamestop but no idea if PC will match.

Yeah, I'm paid up until 2023 now. I'm surprised how few times I’ve actually paid full price for any of these services.

Yeah looks like PS+ is $45 everywhere this next week, Amazon too already.

I'm paid up through April but I guess there's little chance of it getting cheaper between now and then so probably should go ahead and extend.

PS+ and Now are $45 each at gamestop also.

I have to say: in the past year, I've gotten way more use out of my Now sub than from PS+. I let PS+ lapse not too long ago and haven't really missed it, but I've played a lot of games from Now on the last year and renewed it for another year last week. I don't do much with the game streaming, but the downloadable PS4 library has been pretty good.
