What are you playing this weekend?

I've been bouncing around recently. There's been Spelunky, Into the Breach, Super Mario Bros 35, Rebel Galaxy, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

Alien: Isolation if it can stop putting me to sleep. I just want to be attacked by something!

Darkest Dungeon: a game I barely play but love to buy on new platforms. My latest acquisition is on PS4. Started up a Radiant campaign a couple nights ago and will see how far I get this time.

And a couple palette cleansers on PC:
Synthetik
Demon’s Tilt

I...what? I haven't seen *that* complaint leveled at game ever. Usually it's "this is an anxiety inducing terror I don't want to deal with". How far along are you?

For Space Game Junkie, I'll be playing/recording Space Crew. We're having a family Zoom gathering on Saturday so then we'll be playing some Jackbox games. For myself, I'll be playing Battle Brothers, which I just got in the Steam sale and am enjoying very much, as well as more Bloody Rally Show and likely some Star Fleet II as well! Should be a great weekend.

I'm supposed to be on videogame break, and yet I started playing the original Portal yesterday for no reason. So, I expect to finish it this weekend. Maybe even tonight. So good. I had completely forgotten the turrets, and they brought a smile to my face after a sh*tty day.

Other than that, I will still try to figure out how to use the Godot engine, going through a few tutorials and see what I can use to make the game I have been thinking about non-stop for a few weeks now.

I recently bought Hades in the Epic sale for £5 (with a voucher), so I have started playing Bastion again to finish that first. I also discovered that I have Transistor (Epic freebie) and Pyre (from the itch.io Bundle for Racial Equality), so I plan to play all of the Supergiant games back-to-back over the next few weeks.

I'll be playing Loom as part of the GWJ Adventure Game Club

Continuing The Banner Saga as part of the GWJ CRPG Club

I also plan to have a look at Sunless Sea (thanks for the gift Aaron D.), although I may wait until I finish TBS before going for completion.

I went back to Assassin's Creed Origins after two and a half months yesterday, and had a great time with it, so I will probably stick with it over the weekend.

Funny, I fired up Assassin's Creed Odyssey this week for the first time in about four months, had a great time, and wondered why I ever dropped it. I will eventually remember why, but until then it's on the list.

Also Control, Chrono Trigger, and maybe Star Wars Squadrons if I find myself in a Star Wars mood for some reason...

Today is a medley of things.
1. Yakuza 0
2. Yakuza 5 ( I was playing on the PS3 but to stream to my phone sounds nice too).
3. Last Evil (Its one of those AO games but in a Slay the Spire style way. ) Gameplay is fun and you can skip allot of the AO stuff.

Oh and Observer for Halloween.

1979 Revolution: Black Friday so far, which has been fascinating, disturbing, inspiring, a bit janky, and very educational. Halfway through in one sitting, and looking forward to more tomorrow!

After that, most likely Silent Hill 2 because, 'tis the season, and Mass Effect 2.

At this point, I'm not sure what I'm gonna play, but I might do a little bit of Pokemon Crown Tundra.

Not much, just a bit of Loom.

Other than that, I will still try to figure out how to use the Godot engine, going through a few tutorials and see what I can use to make the game I have been thinking about non-stop for a few weeks now.

2D or 3D?
I have heard there are some issues getting started with 3D. I tried to do something in 3D and it was far easier despite being still quite complex, in Unity and other engines.

3D. I'm following a class on Udemy at the moment, and so far I've only touched 2D. I expect to get to the 3D projects in a few weeks. We'll see how it goes. I'm not married to the engine.

Tjis weekend probably some Luigis mansion 3 with the son

I dipped into a few things this weekend

Genshin Impact. As a new player, this is one of the smoothest, prettiest JRPGs I've ever tried, even if it is a bit bland. And it's free?

Need for Speed Payback. What a dull and joyless game. And it's not free (well it's a PS Plus freebie) and starts hitting me with loot boxes after a couple of hours? Gross.

Judgment. Not sure why, I bounced off this a few months ago. Picked it up again this weekend and I'm having a much better time with it now, though Yagami is still no Kiryu.

Monster Train! - Seriously this is what I wanted Slay the Spire to be.

More Red Dead Redemption 2. It's unusual for a game to keep me this hooked for this long. I'm partway Chapter 6, so maybe not too long to go? Though with how distracted I get when playing it, I could still be a while!

I've also been wanting to jump back into Mario Odyssey and Hyrule Warriors too, so hopefully I'll have time for at least one of those.

I think I need some Euro Truck Simulator 2 in my life at the moment.

Mostly a bunch of Morrowind via Bloodmoon, which I'm really enjoying (moreso than I maybe expected?).

I might also try to finish Layers of Fear and squeeze in a bit more Knights of the Old Republic II.

Thinking about buying Super Hot (VR) and binging on that. Still need to play more Ghost of Tsushima.

I'm also playing Is it Tuesday yet? I have an Xbox to pickup.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer for N7 Day maybe

Probably some more Assassin's Creed: Origins. However, I got Matterfall, Fury Unleashed and Flat Heroes on the current PS store sale a couple of days ago, and their siren song is proving to be very hard to resist, so we'll see...

I will be petting my doggo and calling Quiet's murder-shots in Metal Gear Solid 5. Maybe with some breaks for playing Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid.

I...I'm just just really enjoying MGSV, and I want more Metal Gear.

MGS V is such a good game. I really wish they actually finished the story they were trying to tell, but the gameplay and systems they put in place were so good.

Likely some Watch Dogs: Legion, as I lost one of my favorite operatives this week. Also apt to play some No Man's Sky with friends, and may dip back into Elite Dangerous and/or Star Wars: Squadrons.

I bounced of Shadow of War on PS Plus so i am downloading lair of the clockwork god now it is out on PS4.

I've recently picked up Fury Unleashed, a great roguelite action platformer, so I'll be playing more of that.

Some Project Winter - an 8 person multiplayer game focusing on social deception and survival. Lot's of fun!

I've decided to play all of the Supergiant Games in order of release, I'm still on the first with Bastion.

Plus my GWJ Game Club games: Loom and The Banner Saga

For Space Game Junkie, I'mma make vids of Starpoint Gemini 3 and whatever else I might have time for.

For myself, definitely more Bloody Rally Show and I have no idea what else. Maybe more Spellforce 3: Fallen God.

It'll be a busy weekend but a good one.

Gonna keep on with Banner Saga 2 with the CRPG club, and then something else. Probably the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity demo, so I can decide if I want to get the game or not in a couple of weeks.
