This is airing on Monday.
Disney has put the two-part Darkwing Duck episode of Duck Tales up on YouTube. It's definitely looking like this is going to be a pilot for a new Darkwing Duck series, but nothing official yet.
Batman TAS and Batman Beyond Blu-ray sets are both deal of the day on Amazon for a few more hours. Both include digital copies too, and beyond includes Return of the Joker.
I've wanted these for years and they got removed from Amazon Prime a while back to go to DC's own streaming thing, so nice to have a hard copy.
That explains why I saw a Darkwing Duck video the other day and at the end it was playing the Ducktales theme. I was so confused.
Yeah, the new Duck Tales is going full on cinematic universe. It's not only Darkwing Duck, but they've also had Don Carnage and the Iron Vulture from Tale Spin, Goofy and Max from Goof Troop, and the entire Rescue Rangers team. Baloo, Kit, and Molly will be showing up in future episodes too.
Holy sh*t why did nobody tell me the owl house is so good!
Hooty is going in one of my d&d campaigns just as soon as it is appropriately annoying to do so!

The Owl House is an amazing animated series on the Disney channel. I love everything about it. Go check it out!!
That was towards the end of the previous page. It’s not my fault that I was ignored.

I'm sorry, were you saying something? No? Ok, moving on. The only good animated shows from Disney are Phineas and Ferb and to a lesser extent, Milo Murphy's Law, right?
Actually, what are the other good new in the last 10 or so years Disney episodic cartoons? DuckTales?

Gravity Falls
Star vs the Forces of Evil is fantastic
Does Clone Wars count?

My daughter was in the process of binging it a while back. I passed by the TV and thought, “Oh, what a cool art style.” Then the humor of the show and the unique story writing hit me over the head and told me to sit on the couch and watch.
I have devoured the first season and now demand more!

Gravity Falls
My favorite!
Does Clone Wars count?
It does, but I forgot about it since I do not automatically think Disney with Star Wars.
I did try Gravity Falls and it is definitely not up my alley.
Belatedly caught the last season of She-Ra, and it was brilliant and beautiful.
The Owl House is certainly on my to-watch list, but I've also heard great things about Amphibia. It's another Disney show that's compared to The Owl House quite often.
Bah, there's too many good shows. I still need to watch Kipo.
Was Beastars any good, or just weird?

Kipo is good. Owl House is a cut above.

Both?

"Both" is right. I did enjoy it quite a bit.
Just getting around to seeing Harley Quinn, and it's broadly good, but I have two criticisms:
- It has a bit of a "12-year-old trying to write an edgy story" feel, specifically RE: cussin'. Like, I'm no blanching flower when it comes to obscenities, but the show very much comes across like a tween putting as many f*cks as possible into a story so it seems "adult".
- The Jokes per Minute average is good, but if I may just make this an untenable complicated metaphor, a lot of those jokes are slap singles, not solid contact. Like, they're getting on base, but they're just running it out pretty often.
