What are you playing this weekend?

I'll be playing some VR on my new Quest 2, and maybe finally play more Ghost of Tsushima (I've had it for a week, and I'm just past the intro, starting act 1).

Looking to cover some ground in Trails of Cold Steel 2, Genshin Impact, Wasteland 2, and maybe a little bit of Warframe to check out some of the Halloween content.

Tales in the Sky 2nd Chapter. Slowly and surely

Far Cry 2 apparently.

More of this. The checkpoint respawning is truly as ridiculous as everyone said. I installed Dylan's realism mod and a graphics update, and that has improved the game a ton.

Only 23% into the story, but I've done lots of side content so far.

Perhaps some more Burnout Paradise. I started it to keep the kid occupied for a bit, but ended up playing myself. Apparently it has motorcycles? How did I not see this much sooner?

Continuing my quest in Hades to see credits and

Spoiler:

Create a harem of Death, an Erinyes, and a severed Gorgon head.

Ohhhh, checkpoint respawning has kinda made me put the game on hold, so I HAVE to try this. What's the graphics update you're using?

Just to be clear, Dylan's mod does not eliminate checkpoint respawning or even slow it - supposedly it's not possible. It reduces enemy's situational awareness (I think I've noticed this a bit), and supposedly reduces the chances of them chasing after you from 100% to 60%. I have not noticed this change.

It also makes enemies far less bullet spongey. It usually only takes 2-5 hits from my automatic rifle to take them down now rather than (frequently) 10+ before the mod.
Supposedly bullets are far more damaging to the player as well, but I've not noticed a difference.

Far Cry 2: Vanilla+ (Tom's Mod) - "Colorful Far Cry". The sunsets are just astonishing. I probably took 30 screenshots last night.
There are other variants of Tom's Mod, and it allows for gameplay changes (and far more challenge), but it would make my saves incompatible, so I just did the graphics mod and machete unlock.

Definitely continuing my playthrough of Secret of Mana and hopefully some more Paper Mario: the Origami King.

Yeah I tried it last night and really liked how much easier enemies went down. Thank you!

No matter what other games I have, Forza Horizon is the only thing I play right now.

Hades!

Monkey Island 2!!! So much fun.

I need to get back to my Monkey Island 2 game! But I got really stuck where I left off and haven't been able to figure out what I'm missing! (Of course since it's been a long time, I don't even remember what I'm stuck on!)

Finished Yakuza Kiwami and decided to sidestep over to Judgment instead of playing Kiwami 2 immediately. Judgment seems cool as hell. Detective Noir murder investigation stuff set in the fictional district Kamurocho from the Yakuza games. It's neat to be in the same town with the same stores and stuff but in a tonally completely different game.

Also finally finished Half-Life: Alyx
And got back into Beat Saber.

This weekend will likely be basically the same.

I watched credits roll on Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

I finished the main quest in Morrowind! Still an all-time great, with incredible world building and a story that feels complex and epic, while keeping things understated. You might be the Nerevarine, but you're still an Outlander as far as everyone's concerned. There's some presentational and mechanical clunkiness, but this is still a game worth (re)visiting.

Working on a long-play game we're calling Raising Miss Maisy.

already made her first kill! good job!

Hades. It's very good.

Might also check out the Deep Rock Galactic patch.

There's only one thing on my 'currently playing' list at the moment: Chrono Trigger. I might even finish it (especially since the systems at work are down today and for the whole weekend)!

Other than that, now that I have a huge 4k monitor, maybe it's time for me to start (finally) learning how to use Blender for that videogame project I want to work on.

I think I’m going to get into A Short Hike and start Spiritfarer.

I enjoyed my time with A Short Hike, took me around 5-6 hours to finish the main story taking it easy. I may jump back in to check out the new boat mechanic that they have subsequently added.

Hopefully finishing the Tribunal expansion for Morrowind, and starting Amnesia Rebirth.

Gotta finish my current save of Stellaris before the new patch comes out and kills some of my mods for a few weeks. Evenings will hopefully be Squadrons and/or Overwatch with some of y'all. if i get bored with any of that Wasteland 3 needs beating.

Well, I finally gave in and bought Hades, as it was on sale for $5 off and I had a $10 off coupon to use. My first actual purchase from the Epic store after I've amassed a library of 50+ titles in there! Looking forward to trying it out.

I'm also trying out Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox now that it's on Game Pass. And fiddling a bit with Fortnite and its Halloween event.

I am determined to finish ffvii remake... AND DO WHATEVER IT TAKES.... even if it means staying up all night starting today!!!

I've been spending time with Nier Automata, so I'll keep on with that. And also plan to resume Banner Saga with the CRPG club.

I'm finally digging back in to NieR:Automata, maybe checking out the Immortals Fenyx Rising (ugh that title) demo on Stadia if the internet gods cooperate. If not, I'm headed straight to Hades.

Little bit of Trails of Cold Steel II, little bit of Genshin Impact, little bit of Crown Tundra and trying to catch me some old Pokemon.

I installed "Kingdom Come Deliverance" over the week and I'm excited to look into it. Especially the fighting system seems interesting and its a nice twist to see a more realistic middle-age game with no fantasy element.

To calm down I will also continue my Bushtrips in "MS Flight Simulator" perfect game to chill out and enjoy the sights.
