[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

I am still pissed at Cosby. I loved his stand up. I liked the show. And that SOB ruined it all. Can't listen to his stuff, can't see his face without anger and disppointment.

Anyway this was a sick burn I thought.

We used to blame lead for the Romans' insanity, but seeing the modern US, my present hypothesis is that their conservatives just chose to believe in an alternate reality that they liked better. That worked for awhile, until actual reality destroyed them.

To be fair, he's getting more electoral college votes from Russia than from California.

Does anyone in their wildest dreams believe trump would write something like this? Or even have his staff do it in his name? I am sure his cult would argue it doesn't really matter that strong leadership on economic, military, law and order issues is what a president is about but dammit if I think a man with this kind of decency would be a win for this country.

Kill the trolley people

Not a new concept, but it seems especially appropriate this year:

Edit: It seems my original intent didn't make it through intact as I frequently have difficulty finding the right words for posting in this topic, I see now that I should have struggled a little harder before clicking submit. To sum it up, I'm having difficulty picking between the candidates because I don't care for the virtues of one nor the vision of the other and wish that there more options to vote for. They are certainly not equally bad, Trump is far worse, but I don't stand by the idea that one should be voted for to keep the other from winning if I don't find either one adequate for the position. Hopefully this lessens the potential misunderstanding.

Spoiler:

I'll still vote for one or the other, once I decide which one is likely to be the least bad option, which, honestly, isn't likely to happen until I'm in the voter booth this November. I have to say, I'm continually perplexed by why I should have to support either of them though when they're each awful people in their own right. That and knowing that whomever wins will be the face and commander of the United States for the next four years fills me with tumultuous dread.

My two cents, I think I'll just fade back to lurking in D&D until after the elections are long settled.

Wow. Suppressing further comments since this isn't the thread for it, if you're serious then I think you're the first actual "undecided voter" I've encountered.

I am amazed, and somewhat appalled, that anyone could look at the last four years and seriously think they wanted more.

And even if you think they are both equally awful, our leaders are a reflection of who we are. Trump is what you get when one side is actively trying to destroy democracy. Biden is what you get when the other side is doing everything it can to prevent said destruction, and doesn't have the energy to do more.

I mean, the one guy is boring, stutters, and something about his kid and Ukraine. But it's not just him who's terrible - the other guy has been credibly accused of rape by multiple women, owes money he doesn't have to foreign powers, lies constantly about even easily verified things, openly courts white supremacists, and has materially contributed to the deaths of 200K+ Americans.

What I'm saying is they're both awful. All we can do is vote our consciences.

I honestly can't imagine thinking both these sides are equal in 2020. Amazing.

To be fair, one rather damning point against Biden that people tend to forget is the glowing endorsement he got from Lindsay Graham.
