Video Game Deals Catch-All

When did you play?

Their menus are generally awful, especially for character upgrades. They've been using similar layouts across all their ARPGs and I simply don't get why they don't change.

Earlier this year. I don't know how much it's changed since then.

Two friends and I tried playing this once a week a few months ago. We put 3 or 4 sessions into it. Ultimately, it didn't do anything to make us keep playing. I agree with Clock's assessment - I enjoyed Minecraft Dungeons more, for longer.

Btw it either is or was on Gamepass, so people can check it out "free" that way.

Console 2.0 patch was late last year, so you would've had it.

Perhaps I have the luxury of having played it pre-2.0 patch so I know how much better it feels now. They originally tried to make cover an important mechanic and its design worked well enough (ie. on paper) but the combat felt off. 2.0 gave it more weight and impact, though I will admit that it depends on the weapon (shotgun) as some are lacking (flamer).

Its good for killing W40K stuff and getting some loots. I've stuck with it longer than I did with Minecraft Dungeons, so YMMV, obviously.

The menus still suck.

I thought it was good and was sci-fi Diablo which was basically what I was hoping for. I put over 30 hours in before I trailed off and moved to something else. Well worth the $15. I bought the deluxe version or whatever it was called that included all of the DLC when it was on sale a while back.

There is a catch allthread here too if you buy it and want to talk about it.

I need to get this as a framed plaque and put it on my desk.

I had a fair few weeks with Inquisitor. I enjoyed my time with it. Eventually the grind wore me down, but the journey was fun. I even enjoyed the story, but I think I'm in the minority on that one.

Gonna go with a tattoo, myself. Not saying where.

Epic Games usual Thurs freebies.

Abzu (repeat freebie)
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam

Abzu looks incredibly pleasant.

Grateful as always.

Muse Dash is $1.50 on steam. That is the regular price on mobile devices. It is $22 on Switch but that includes the DLC. I have seen conflicting information on how many songs are included in the base game but all the reviews seem to think the game is well worth the price without dlc.

It is two button rhythm game. The game portion is on the cute side for looks.. The extra unlocks are on the perverted side. Lots of T and A but not nudity.

Found in the DLC description: Muse Dash currently has 41 base songs and 16 DLC music packs. Each of the packs includes 6 additional songs but that won’t be it! We will update the game one music pack each month! Watch out for new contents!

Coincidentally, the same goes for Hades.

It's pretty relaxing. I played it with my older son a few years back, he was around 7 or 8 at the time. It's one of those games that don't really challenge you or take a lot of time, but at the end you feel it was the perfect difficulty and length.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is free on Steam.

Didn't know about this, thanks.

Bought it for mobile and I'm having a blast. Huge value for $2, it feels like robbery!

I also noticed that there's a weekly rotation of free songs from the paid DLC packs, very generous.

Muse Dash: Thirty minutes in. I'm... having fun? Not sure yet. I just started a second session and after failing one of the free DLC tracks I suddenly got a page full of all the notifications about achievements and levelups and song unlocks I achieved in the first section. Weird.
Edit: Ouroboros - Twin stroke of the end- is insane at Hard. Not enough muscle memory for the cues yet.
Edit2: Flailing through prepared me to S rank easy though.

I have now spent more time with this @ $1.50 than many mobile games I've paid more for. Good deal.

DekuDeals just shot me a note that Vaporum, which the developers describe as a grid-based steampunk dungeon crawler, is on sale for 60% off until Oct. 25 for the Switch. (Don't know what the US sale price is, but here in Canada, it's knocked down to $10.49.) It seems like it's a mix of Bioshock aesthetics and storytelling (audio diaries aplenty to discover) with Etrian Odyssey-style dungeon crawling. Figured it might be appealing to someone else, too. (It got a decent review over at Destructoid.)

Bunch of 1st party Nintendo Switch is $40 at GameStop and price matched at Amazon. Mario maker 2, Mario tennis, Splatoon 2, etc.

Both physical and download codes.

Humble Bundle is having a sale including some 2K games. I picked up XCom Chimera Squad for $10.

Amazon is giving 25% back (after the fact) on digital money cards for things like the Nintendo eshop, Sony, MS, a few games, and subscription stuff like game pass.

Looks like that's for Amazon credit card users only.

In which bundle? I must have missed it.

Not a bundle, on sale in the regular Humble store.

Zelda BotW lowest price ever on Amazon at $40, physical and digital.

Fanatical has distant worlds universe for $9.

Super Mario Odysseys is $40 on Amazon and best buy. I suspect they'll have a number of deals during prime day.

Tomorrow is the 30th Anniversary of The Secret of Monkey Island and the remaster (which includes the original) is on sale at GOG.

PlayStation Plus 12-month memberships currently $30: https://www.cdkeys.com/1-year-playst...

So it has region USA, would this work on my Canadian account?
