NFL 2020: Week 5

Panthers today:

5 plays, punt
14 plays, FG
8 plays, FG
5 plays, TD (on 57-yr catch-and-run)
9 plays, TD

Halftime: Carolina 20, FaLOLcons 7

Conclusion: ATL is baaad. Like, worse than last year's team that started 1-7.

Derek Carr at halftime; 11/13, 246 yards, 3 TDs.

Wait, Derek Carr?

Texans looking halfway competent. I guess they just needed BOB to get out of their way.

This should be fine provided absolutely no one else gets Covid.

Chase Claypool's gonna be vanishing off of fantasy free agency like toilet paper off of store shelves in March.

Dear lord, can the Niners please get some CBs back?

The "?" Is Brian Allen, who, I mean, here is his PFR career stats page. Seems to be the answer to the question, "where can we get someone who has at least taken an NFL snap at CB?". From the couch to the starting lineup.

Mahomes is still undefeated against Oakland.

Update: ATL still really bad. Failcons had a chance to come back but Matt Ryan threw a terrible INT. It's a throw throw that not even Dwayne Haskins would have made.

I still can't believe that Ryan was once a league MVP.

What'd Draw Play Dave promise to draw if the Giants win that has the Giants playing like this now?

Edit: Wait, just Jason Garrett clapping?

The Dolphins' offence right now is "Where's Brian Allen?"

It's brutal. Too easy for Fitzpatrick, like a starter playing in the 4th quarter of a preseason game.

Garoppolo is not ready to be back. I don't think the plant foot is good to go. Time to put in Beat Hard.

Jimmy G makes Nick Mullins look like CJ Beathard.

Why the f*ck is Giants-Cowboys on at 4pm here? Is every other game canceled? 1-3 vs 0-4?! Outside of Dallas and NY no one gives a sh*t. There has to be something better I can do with my late afternoon.

Go outside.

The NFL is doing whatever they can to fill the schedule out.

I'm with Stele.

And it's pouring out rain up here while we're...waiting on Sunday nighhhhhhhht.

If only the Niners caught COVID, they could have postponed all their games until they could actually field a full team.

This season is so stupid.

Beat Hard to start second half.

Yep. Probably should have been the starter. Jimmy's been away 2 weeks for an injury that's usually a 4-6 week recovery time, and unlikely to be 100% recovered until the season ends. Team was just desperate to get people back on the field and not lose this season.

There goes Dak's foot.

Edit: Sports needs an advisory at the start of each broadcast that there's a 10% chance you'll see gruesome content.

Jesus Christ, they're all acting like he's dead. I've seen less concern for somebody that's been knocked unconscious.

Rivers just threw for intentional grounding fr the end zone resulting in a safety.

I'm only mentioning it because Jamie Gillan earned that for the Browns dropping a punt in at the 5 yd line.

You don't hear enough punter praise, ya know?

He is dead, he was playing on the franchise tag. When Jerruh wins, we all lose.

I am mind-blown that there are a bunch of fans out there who think he's a HoFer.

Like, he's not bad, but I'm sorry, what?

I've never liked him. Guy puts up stats with HoF-caliber receivers and otherwise has to have everything go his way to be MVP-like or win a Super Bowl. Take away Julio and he's...nothing?

Philip Rivers doesn't have a ring but is more likely to make the HoF, deservedly so.

I can think of 28-3 reasons he'll never make the Hall of Fame.

Browns offense looked pretty good against a good Colts D. Colts clearly made second half adjustments to counter the Browns O in the second half, but the Browns are still hanging and winning. (Browns WRs keep dropping balls in the second half. Kind of pathetic.)

Mayfield is looking like he could be an actual NFL QB. Still wouldn't have taken him 1st overall, but definitely better than last season.

No clue on whether Stefanski is the answer to the point he could, say, come back from 28-3, but he's clearly better than Kitchens.

Meanwhile, Dallas-NYG has turned out to be the most entertaining game of the weekend (so far).

Oh hell no, not overtime.

EDIT: Unless they tied. That would be funny.

Hasn't this game put us through enough as it is?

Huh. The Cowboys won.

Andy Dalton, g*d damn. Those throws to Gallup.
