i mean, that makes sense though right. The jeep wranger still basically has the box on wheels shape it had when Ford designed it. it wasn't trying to be aerodynamic, it only had to drive 15mph. the lobster has had several million years tailoring it to be streamlined to escape predators in a fluid way more resistant than air. Although the are blowing the air over the lobster backwards, since they swim tail first.

Also, last I checked, lobsters don't fly, so are evolved to be HYDROdynamic, not aerodynamic.

And water drags a lot more than air does, so the it's entirely unsurprising that the one that's optimized for water is less draggy.

This is also why submarines aren't shaped like Jeep Wranglers.

You seem to be implying that Jeep Wranglers do. And, I choose to accept that implication.

There has to be some reason people buy them. That's the only one I could think of that might actually entice me to do so.

This entire section makes my brain hurt. Thanks everyone. I hate you all. Including whoever made that picture.

Submarines can't be shaped like Jeeps because Chrysler would sue them for copyright infringement.

Submarines come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, including Wrangler-esque.

a Wrangler-sized submarine feels... capricious?

I knew that! I've tried to catch crayfish/rock lobsters while diving.

I stand entirely corrected.

LEGO Sets are getting crazy-detailed.

I’m willing to bet the real version would be cheaper.

Of course it is. The manufacturing tolerances are nowhere near as strict on the actual submarine, nor will it likely last as long.

(Seriously, LEGO bricks have such strict size requirements that aerospace engineers look at them and go "damn, that's strict.")

As an aerospace engineer, I can confirm this. The kind of tolerances involved in Lego manufacturing, and even more so in Lego part molds, is quite impressive.

Only some of you will get this..

He is fully functional.

Women (even all humans I guess) have been banging machines since well before the 2300's...

Farley, those comics are ONE picture! That is definitely a crime in some states.

I guess I do *memes* now?
