Can't wait to play Metroid Prime Trilogy and Zelda: The Master Sword Collection on it.

Close. This is Smash for kids.

All this makes me want to do is play more BotW. Seriously

GameStop has V2 Red/Blue Switches for purchase on their online store at MSRP. Same with the Animal Crossing edition.

I don't know if they're still hard to find or not, so this may not be "news".

My step-father has been looking for one for my nephew so I ordered one yesterday afternoon for him. I got a "shipped" notice last night. We'll see if it's real in a couple days.

Animal Crossing Switches have been showing up in stores in Houston in the last week. I saw one at Target and a friend of mine bought one from Best Buy.

Yeah maybe they finished the original run that was delayed back in the spring? Target is advertising them in their app.

Not sure if AC save will transfer with system transfer though, so if you've already played the game for months, might not be worth it.

Why buy a Switch now when the Switch Pro is so obviously ready to be unveiled any second? Nintendo will drop the announcement right after the return window for your foolishly purchased Switch Amateur closes! Do you really want to miss out on 4K Picross?

If they call it Switch Pro, I want them to require proof of income from gaming (i.e. professional status) from anyone who buys it. Words should mean things.

(You too, Sony.)

It's not "Pro" as in "Professional"; it's as in "Prosumer". And yes, I just gagged as I typed that.

Next thing you'll be telling me that it's not exclusively for Prosumers who are both tops AND bottoms.

I bought and "installed" this for my wife back in July as a surprise. She loves the colors and how if feels. It doesn't have a D-pad, but she doesn't care about that.

eXtremeBee Soft Touch Grip Back Plate And JoyCon Shells for Nintendo Switch Console

It was well worth her smiles.

The color in the first photo is closer to reality than the second.

Evidently Nintendo Treehouse is going to have a live stream of Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity today at 10am PT/1pm ET. There's nothing on YouTube yet for it.

I'm not really expecting anything more for 2020 at this point from Nintendo. Covid hit 'em hard, plus I imagine the rumors are claiming games are being held back for whatever this supposed Pro model is. Curious to see what 2021 will bring.

There's still one 2013 Wii U game left to port.

I want the next Mario Kart. A port of the WiiU version can't be all we get this gen from a game that has seen entries on console, handheld, and mobile.

Sincere question: what would you want them to add/change? My buddies and I have begun a monthly Mario Kart stream and 8 Deluxe kind of feels like everything I'd want in a Mario Kart.

Wait, you were disappointed with the lack of proper battle mode in the original 8. Did Deluxe add a proper Battle Mode? I feel like it did.

I agree. I want a true next-gen Mario Kart. Take the anti-grav stuff they added in MK8 and make it like that the whole race. Crank the speeds up to an extreme level. Leave all the classic cartoony track designs behind and make it set in a cool futuristic environment. And give it an all new name, something like "F-Zero".

I'd pay for a roughly similar feature set with a new set of tracks.

I just want them to hurry up with the Metroid Prime ports/remakes/updates. I love them and I would be happy to pay them again for the pleasure of playing them - but not enough that I want to buy a Wii.

More tracks. That's it.

I legitimately don't care if they add more racers or items or car parts. I don't care if they don't change the graphics or driving model or anything like that. I just want more tracks. I've put hundreds of hours into MK8 across Wii U and Switch, and I'd just like to see some new places to race.

Every time there's a Direct, I hope they just announce a big season pass of new tracks for MK8D.

Same. I'd drop $20 for another 20-25 tracks.

I'd pay $60 for 16 more tracks. Seriously. (Assuming at least half are new.)

I guess during the Treehouse stream today, Nintendo announced that there will be a Pikmin 3 demo on the Switch eShop today. It'll carry your progress over to the full game.

They're also selling an extended demo for the Switch game on Wii U for $20. It apparently includes pretty much the whole game.

Yep, I just want more tracks. I'd seriously love to have every Mario Kart track ever in MK8D. All in a decent resolution, in the same place. Although, I will admit that I don't think Mario Kart 64 had very many good tracks. There were only a few my friends and I enjoyed after a while.

And Chris, yes, you remembered correctly - MK8 on WiiU didn't have real Battle Mode, but MK8D does. Used to have a ton of fun with Coin Runners mode with my kids on MKWii. I wish those Battle Mode levels were in 8D.

I'd pay $60 to get all the levels from Wii into MK8D.

Selling a demo, eh? Is that like Square selling the Final Fantasy 7 PS1 demo, bundled in with the full Tobal No. 1 game.

More like the other “demos” on the Wii U of games that have been ported to the Switch.

Hard West is only $1.99 on the eShop.

It is a sort of X-Com strategy game set in the wild west. I grabbed it.
