I'm not sure about this timey-wimey stuff, but The Endless (2017) [Netflix] is superb.

There is also Resolution (2012), with which The Endless is thought to share a universe, and similarly Spring (2014) from the same creators. Resolution is on Amazon Prime Video, and Spring is on Tubi and Shudder.

OMG Moorhead posted on Reddit that he was surprised to find his movie poster on the front page of Reddit. I totally stanned all over him.

BTW, Spring by Moorhead and Benson is also free to watch (uncensored, with commercials if you're not a Premium member) on YouTube Movies.

This is the movie, not the trailer. Highly recommended, just a beautiful film. 84% on RT.

Okay, here's the trailer, if you insist.

Me: Googles which Carolina that pastor is in.

Oh thank Jeebus.

Edit: (Sorry, SC.)

Not surprised.

This one's going to be a definite watch for me:

Anne Hathaway as Anjelica Huston?

Zemeckis directing a decent cast, and Guillermo del Toro has a screenwriting credit, so...

Free Guy Trailer 2
*seems like they gave a whole lot away in this trailer. If you don't want a lot of the story spoiled you should avoid.

Blood of Zeus - Netflix Animated series in the vein of Castlevania

Since we don't have a thread about DUNE I figure this is the place to post this.

Dune delayed until 2021

I was going to poke fun at studios for another "Well what about three months from now? Surely it will be better by then!" delay that is completely ignoring 100% of the facts of where we are right now, but oh hey, 10 months.

That might actually be long enough to matter.

That might actually be long enough for me to finally read the book.

Or this one fits

Actually almost a year from now. 10/1/2021

Everything delayed until 2021 now I would think. With Cineworld (in the UK) closing down all their theatres, Odeon (Our biggest chain) now only opening over half of their theatres at weekends only, the market is pretty much dead now until people can go back on-mass.

The only major releases I can think of that haven't been delayed to next year are Soul and Wonder Woman 1984.

From now, yes, but its original intended release was in December.

Either way, it's good to see an at least seemingly rational delay and not another full on "we as a studio are in full denial of reality" insufficient one.

That might still be too soon, but they might actually be able to put some butts in seats by then, as working vaccines may be somewhat available. It'll probably take another year to get everyone vaccinated.

Wow, this looks alright... I never did finish the comic.

*squee*

Soul will be coming to Disney+ on Christmas Day. Unlike Mulan, Disney is not charging an additional fee for access.

Noice.

Now let's hope Warner changes Patty Jenkins' mind and puts WW84 on HBO Max.

I like the optimism on the part of movie executives that not only will it be safe to return to theaters in 2021, but we’ll want to be in theaters by then.

I always like the first strong runs of Invincible. Felt like a merging of Spiderman and Superman that actually leveraged the more interesting character consequences of what they are. Especially since he's not protagonist smart.

It's silly to me to say Invincible is from the creator of The Walking Dead. Like I get it The Walking Dead gained traction in garbage TV form, but

Wonder if they'll end the first season where they ought.

I.... what..... I mean, 2020, I guess?
