Does seven seasons really count as "quitting" Agents of Shield? That show had a seriously long run.

Probably not but I recall lots of people felt they left lots unfinished or rushed.

Agent Carter just didn't have an audience to get advertisers. My wife and I watched it, but really didn't love it, so I can see how it didn't catch on with the masses.

The "abandoned" seasons of Agents of Shield and Agent Carter happened at the same time, when they were trying to tie in to the movies but it was becoming very clear that the movies would never acknowledge the series. Once AoS started trying to stand on its own it got much better. Agent Carter sadly never got that chance, mostly because it was much more limited in what it could do within the timeline they had to adhere to.

That said, the season 1 tie-in they did with Winter Soldier was wonderful and, in my opinion, saved the show.

But it was also the reason S1 dragged. There was a bunch of filler to avoid the big reveal.

No, lunchbox. It was the egg that came first, not the chicken. ;)

Great. Now I'm hungry for a chicken and egg sandwich.

Agent Carter reminded me of Star Trek: Enterprise. In theory, both series were going to focus on the founding of an important organization. In practice, both series kind of forgot to do that.

That goes back to being limited by the timeline. They can't have Carter even suspect Hyrda still exists, so they can't really get into the formation of SHIELD without having a show where the main character never figures out that she's being manipulated and outmaneuvered by the bad guys.

I got mild Legion vibes from the trailer.
I'm interested and would like to know more.

This is the only show that was in development when Jeff Loeb was fired and Marvel TV was rolled under Feige. I think it was supposed to tie into the other shows they'd announced like Ghost Rider (spin off of Agents of Shield).

I don't know if this was so far in development it was just easier to release and get some money back, or if it truly fits in with the new overarching movie and TV MCU.

So look at this as a one-off. Don't expect more. If you like it and get more, feel lucky.

She’s also a Muslim child of Pakistani immigrant parents. But she’s from Canada, not New Jersey

I'll never believe her as Kamala now.

Embiggen, eh?

The thought occurs that she might know perfectly well who's really behind things, but can't convince her bosses because she's a woman. They could just pat her on the head and dismiss her as 'hysterical'.

That certainly was how she was treated while she was still in the SSR, but her, Tommy Lee Jones's character from Captain America, and Howard Stark co-founded SHIELD with her serving as its director for decades. She was the boss. Zola was the one who rebuilt Hydra within SHIELD, after they recruited him as part of Operation Paperclip, but as Director, she'd have been aware of his recruitment and probably signed off on it herself. Agent Sousa was on their trail, but that's why Hydra killed him in the 50s. Carter never learned what he had found out and they changed their tactics afterwards to prevent anyone else from finding out about them the way he had.

Did I miss something where his Electro was beloved enough to bring back?

Because your daddy was a narcissistic jerk who couldn't let SW or CM win the day?

Love the meme, so not going to take anything from that.

I think any of the heroes that received their powers from the infinity stones (Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Vision), are capable of taking on Thanos when he's not using the stones himself.

Weird that Helstrom on Hulu has ZERO Marvel branding.

Guess they're just dumping the last Marvel TV production.

Any good?

Not sure yet. Set up is creepy enough to keep us watching, but though.

I'm curious where/what/how they structure this because i only remember Daimon Hellstrom being a plot device and/or side character in other books.

Over the first couple of episodes, his sister is almost equal in focus to Daimon. Haven't gone any further.

That is fine. Not excited not upset. He will be good.

I'm always excited for more Oscar Isaac.
