NFL 2020: Week 2

Is this because of how the "preseason" went? Not just the lack of meaningless games but were there fewer practices or something? Are guys going from 0-60 and getting injured?

Definitely that is part of it. No OTAs, limited rookie minicamp, very limited contact work in camp, no preseason games.

Kinda shows why teams do all that physical work even with the injury risk.

So I guess there won't be another week of "What's wrong with Tom Brady and the Bucs offense."

Niners need to build the lead solid enough to sit Jimmy early. He's throwing OK but the ankle is obviously a problem.

Thank god for Jordan Reed.

That can sit him anyway, they're playing the Jets. Besides, both backups are good.

Gase should be gone after this week. Dude sucks.

Gase hasn't looked particularly well since the first press conference.

Jimmy getting an x-ray on his ankle and won't play in the 2nd half.

Jesus.

Cool, Raheem Mostert out too, and now Kerry Hyder (in for Bosa) is down.

Someone on Twitter said they're down to the 39ers now.

Good thing Adam Gase is bad, but ugh the Niners have to play on this green concrete again next week vs the Giants.

As for the Jags, Minshew and the offense keeping them in the game, but Tannehill has 4 TDs and is 0.3 away from a perfect QB rating, so yeah defense is not a thing for the Jags.

Laviska Shenault is good though.

Carson Wentz got booed off the field in Philly... by MP3s!

Only Philly could get away with something like that.

Damn, Minshew comes up just short in the comeback.

Giants "fear" Saquon Barkley suffered an ACL tear, which we know what that means.

Haven't yet seen the dreaded ACL reference for Bosa yet but I'm just waiting...

EDIT: Rat Boy not messing around with the "fear" part.

Hopefully we'll install automatic snowball-throwing machines for later in the season.

Welp...

Edit: Garrapolo has a high ankle sprain and Solomon Thomas might also have an ACL. Good luck getting out of next week's game without additional injuries.

Teddy at 1, Lamar at 415, for me on TV today. Every week should be like this.

f*cking program guide lied to me. CBS showing LA bullsh*t instead of the MVP.

The Falcons never met a defeat that they couldn't snatch from the jaws of victory.

Except when they played the Eagles in the 1978 playoffs.

It's a relatively new stadium as well (Metlife) and their turf still sucks as much as it did as in the old stadium. Spare no expense..yeah..

Oh and Atlanta is pathetic giving that up in the end.

Still confused by what exactly Atlanta’s strategy on that on sides kick? Let’s just stare at the ball and let the Cowboys recover it??

Nailed it!

Folks, maybe the Texans offense isn't as good without Nuk.

I think the Failcons thought the ball was going to squib out of bounds. Damned if it didn't spin its way upfield for 10.25 yards.

That might be the best onsides kick I've ever seen.

In related NFC South news involving the division's other 0-2 team, CMC went out with some sort of ankle injury.

TB12, meanwhile, will have an OK season if he plays Carolina every week. He was OK -- except for that horrendous Gronk overthrow -- but his receivers had a case of the dropsies today. He also managed to doink a wide-open guy right in the head.

The refs always look like they're about to say "I took my mask off for this sh*t" when they announce a penalty.

Just watched highlights, but, from that, it looks like Brady and Evans are clicking at this point, which is huge. Best WR Brady has had in years.

Also, Leonard Fournette, quite the day.

I don't know what Chargers coaching staff were thinking not going for it 4 & 1 in OT. Defense was tiring and KC showed they were starting to move the ball. KC kicker was splitting the uprights every time. Dumb, dumb...

The stupidest thing in the Dallas Atlanta game wasn’t the onsides kick though...it was the fact that the stadium had 21,000 people in it with if you go by the numbers had at least 30-40 infected people in it.
