The Hot Ones ending killed me!

It was the momentary break of character that really sold it for me

This is inspired and disturbing at the same time.

Kim Jong Un's re-cut of Saturday Night Fever is wild.

I muted the video and played kpop over it. Red Velvet's Russian Roulette works really well.

Anyone interested in mixing difference music with the video, there are oneline tools like Tube Dubber that make it easy and sharable.

So wrong

It's a scene from the BBC show "Staged".

I put this up in the nonsequitur thread, but I wanted to make sure nobody missed it!

This guy has been doing this for a few years now, check out his youtube channel:

I would have never guessed that I needed medieval versions of hip-hop songs in my life.

Never mind.

Pfft. Arthur C. Clarke. What a rube. Computer on a desk indeed. I have a computer in my pocket, grandpa!

Seriously, though, Clarke would weep to see what computers have done to society. I have fuzzy memories of an Asimov novel that took a dystopian view on a massively networked society, but I don't remember the details. I think Clarke's fiction was mostly hopeful about technology, like most authors from the "Golden Age" of SF.

I know this is all the rage right now but I can't help but feel like Ian Dorsch did it first, right here, way back when:

My favorite insert-banjo-here song for a long time:

God damn I love Swamp Thing. I went to Line Dancing classes for a while and this was so good to dance to.

While I'm here this is an entirely static 'video' with a song that contains one of the best piano solos out there:

One of my favorite more recent banjo players (and not just because she's an alumna of the same high school, albeit not from overlapping years):

She's also the 2016 winner of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass, and a 2017 MacArthur Fellow (aka "Genius Grant").

She often returns to the area and does concerts nearby.

I needed this so bad. His albums along with The Far Side in high school had a big influence in my sense of humor. Just seeing him own that bit so hard is refreshing.
