Kenosha shooting: Juvenile arrested after 2 dead, 1 injured; Trump to send National Guard

Why is it I know that when the don't say the race of the murder they are white? Probably because it says "arrested" and not gunned down when being apprehended.

What time does Kyle Rittenhouse speak tonight at the RNC?

Misleading headline. Trump can't send sh*t. The governor has to send the guard. It does sound like Trump convinced, encouraged, something, to get the governor to do it.

I just cannot comprehend the stupidity. Who lets a 17yr old kid armed with an assault rifle go to a protest that has already proven to be volatile?

Dollars to donuts the chump "borrowed" the rifle and lied to his parents about where he was going.

I made a sh*tposting meme to this effect that I'm too cowardly to post, actually, so thanks for giving me the courage. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this thought.

Someone who wants and expects him to shoot the people they are currently in conflict with.

edit: Oh wait you mean his parents, not the police who let him through their lines with a longarm.

The same people who let that 17 year old go to Trump's rally back in January. Pics of him in the front row now, and he posted a video from the rally on TikTok.

Was that one of the rallies Trump encouraged violence?

All 6 NBA teams scheduled to play today refused, starting with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Milwaukee Brewers likewise are refusing to play tonight.

We're reaching a tipping point, I hope.

I don't need to see all of them do it, I just need to see NASCAR do it.

Someone might have pointed it out but I just realized the murders of the protesters and black man getting into his car were both in the same city and same police department. One guy was shot in the back and the other guy wasn't even confronted after people screaming that he killed someone.

It's just so horrible. The only thing I'm surprised about is that protesters haven't been murdered by right-wingers HERE in Portland, especially after that recent protest where police decided to let the right-wingers do what they themselves usually do and see what happens.

Portland Mercury got a hold of an email from the Portland mayor, Tear Gas Teddie, regarding that:

Tear Gas Teddie - Mayor of Portland, Oregon wrote:

For days you’ve been telling me that PPB's response has been overbearing. So last night and tonight they tried something different, and you’re demanding more of a police presence? Do you see how there is a no-win situation here? What, specifically, would you expect them to do? Have 30 officers charge into a crowd of 300 people, many of them armed? Would you do that? Would you ask other people to do that? I’m not shading you, these are serious questions. What specifically would you do? I am honestly interested.

What a waste of a human being.

They wanted it to happen, the cops don’t give a sh*t. There’s video of them palling around with the shooter beforehand, and accounts of the cops warning the group he was with that they were about to try to drive the protestors their way. They would be shooting protestors themselves if they were certain they could get away with it and not risk their pensions.

It’s really only a fluke that it hasn’t happened here in Portland yet, we’ve had two white supremacists who tried to shoot people in the last month and a third who pulled a gun last weekend, as well as the ex-military guy who was throwing IED’s at protestors in Laurelhurst Park last month.

It's so unbelievably f***ed.

Not even September yet.

Osita Nwanevu (good follow on Twitter) pointed this out last year, and sadly, it's turning true, which is that none of us are really prepared for the amount of bloodshed there's going to be before "this" ends.

I was thinking this weekend about how in Star Trek, before they get to the utopia part on earth, they had to go through some absolute sh*t first. I feel like we're there, except the utopian ending is, decidedly not guaranteed.

The USA will to turn into (even more of) the Brave New World equivalent of the Savage Lands: nothing but a tourist attraction for the rest of the world, and a cautionary tale.

The rest of the world won’t even have to turn into Huxley’s New London. There’ll be enough of a contrast between normal humans and USA citizens that the USA citizens will just be scary, brutal entertainment.

Damn, I just saw Jacob Blake’s sister’s statement to the press. Powerful and moving. Her words SHOULD (but they won’t) light some fires under some municipal asses.

“I’m not sad. I stopped crying years ago. I’m angry.”

F—k yes.

The same kind of parents who either directly helped him buy an assault rifle (minors have to have their parents sign an affidavit to get their Firearm Owner's Identification Card, which is required to legally own and possess a firearm in Illinois), turned a blind eye as he illegally possessed an assault rifle he bought in another state, or failed to properly secure and keep track of the assault rifles they owned. Either way they should be arrested and charged with accessories to murder because two people wouldn't be dead and one in the hospital if they had done their jobs as parents.

But instead of people looking hard at the culture that created this f*cking monster, we're getting predictable sh*t like this where literally anything is being used to justify Blake getting shot while a double murderer is being presented in the best possible light solely because he's white.

I mean if Rittenhouse had been black and shot by the police the media would justified it by painting a picture of him as high school dropout from a broken family who had been obsessed with and radicalized by a violent culture and who had a history of run-ins and contempt of the law as demonstrated by him getting ticketed for speeding and driving without a license just last week.

Looks like some super racist sh*t David Beth, the sheriff of Kenosha, said during a press conference in 2018 is resurfacing.

Right you are. Which warehouse would garbage human Sheriff Beth like to be housed in?

"...having small children." Big children are ok? Are they being weighed at birth? What classifies as small on that scale?

He means black or brown children.

It's not necessarily not that new though, for those of you who remember Kent State.

NYC subway shooting in 84 too

Chicago Sun-Times: Jacob Blake handcuffed to hospital bed, father says: “He can’t go anywhere,” the 29-year-old’s dad said, speaking of his son’s paralysis. “Why do you have him cuffed to the bed?”

When Jacob Blake’s father visited him in the hospital Wednesday, he said his son was handcuffed to the bed.

“I hate it that he was laying in that bed with the handcuff onto the bed,” his father, also named Jacob Blake, said Thursday.

“He can’t go anywhere. Why do you have him cuffed to the bed?”

Blake had another question about his son, as well: What was he arrested for?

The younger Blake, 29, was shot multiple times by police Sunday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and is paralyzed from the waist down. The younger Jacob Blake told his father he thought he could feel pain in his legs, but his father isn’t sure if the pain is actually coming from his legs.

The Kenosha Police Department, Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Justice all did not immediately respond to requests for information on his arrest or charges.

The main thing I learned from Maddow's Bag Man podcast was how exactly the same Agnew is to Trump.
