Reminds me of Sunset Overdrive.

Yeah, it was reminding me of Sunset Overdrive as well, when I first saw it.

Seeing as how Sunset Overdrive was one of my very favorite games of the last decade, I'd be totally thrilled if they somehow captured the SO gameplay experience and transplanted it to a different game. But, given that Rocksteady is a totally different company, I'm probably just setting myself up for disappointment.

Star Wars Squadrons Single Player trailer

I have very fond memories of playing Tie Fighter and X-wing so I hope it is good but I can't see how it will control as well without a flight stick.

Free demo exclusively on Stadia (which you can join without a trial subscription now).

It fully supports flight stick/HOTAS setups though, and I just bought one for it (well it's one reason I bought one).

My BIGGEST SECRET was Immortal Fenyx Rising!

Immortals looks like the first true unabashed BotW clone, and I am perfectly ok with that.

At the very least, it seems to be the first one to see the value in climbing and gliding. I don't expect it to capture the same magic, but I'm pretty excited to try it all the same.

And also the rifts look very much the same as BotW shrines, right down to the upgrade reward at the end + 1 extra chest to find. I'm more interested than I was before when all I knew was the name, but am still reserving judgement since it's an Ubisoft open world.

Gesh! Thought I was in the Movie trailer thread. Couldn't believe they had released an Immortals trailer and couldn't figure out what movie BotW was and why Marvel was copying it.

Thanks, I'm fine with the original. Good try, though.

Genshin Impact seems to have the climbing and gliding elements as well... but also has a lot of mobile game elements (gacha elements for summoning gear / new playable characters, some kind of resource limit for getting loot drops from enemies, etc).

Having watched the gameplay trailers, and some first impressions from those that got a chance to play it early, I'm actually much more excited for Immortals than I expected to be. That looks like my type of game and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

That does not look like it's held up well. In the age of Assassin's Creed parkour and combat, this just looks... not great.

Yeah, I actually think I commented (or at least thought about) how great a remake or new Prince of Persia game would be. Yeesh. Not like this.....not like this....

A. they took their time realizing this is an easy money grab.
B. really, that's the remake? My memory must be failing me, because it looks exactly like before.
C. Part of me wants it to fail, stop with the easy money grabs, but I also want new Sand of Time adventures.

The characters look a bit lacking compared to Ubisoft's other recent games, but it's definitely a big upgrade over the original

It just looks to me like their target platform was the Switch.

Using the remote-controlled arrow from AC Odyssey to solve Zelda-style puzzles? Looks like fun to me.

However I'm starting to feel a little tired whenever I'm told, "enemy attacks that flash red cannot be parried." It's moved beyond a mechanical trope to become some kind of industry-wide obsession.

Maybe everyone is compensating for all those years of counter kill to win in the Assassin's Creed series.

Yeah, I was super interested in Genshin Impact until I started hearing about an the gacha elements and such. That just sounds miserable.

I lost basically all interest in Genshin Impact when I saw you just got to choose a pre-made character or party of them instead of creating your own, without even realizing the gacha aspects were there.

Best game trailer/cinematic I've seen in a long time. Some of the story beats would have felt kind of expected if the Rebel/New Republic pilot was the hero, weird how it becomes more effective by humanizing the Imperial side and giving us a taste of the NR as the scary unstoppable force stalking the protagonist.

That trailer was dope. Looking forward to flying some tie's and x-wings.

Out today from the team that created Reus, Godhood, a kickstarted game about founding a religion.

Myst is my favorite series of all time. I think my mouth was agape for the entire 1:22.

It's not just VR, through.

Built from the ground up to play in VR and flatscreen PC, with new art, sound, interactions, and even optional puzzle randomization. The highly anticipated Myst VR experience has finally arrived!

12 is still the newest FF game I have played but this looks neat. Back to being a more pure fantasy setting it looks like. Timed console exclusive on PS5 with a release date of who knows maybe sometime in this console generation because that is how Square does it.
