Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr (Catch All)

See... I REALLY need to progress the story.

I could not do that, I need to use the keyboard with the mouse, but I see how you do it from your username. Makes sense now.

Look, I've kept my secret for a long time. Don't you ruin this!

I just could not resist lol.

I switched the camera rotation key to control, which works for me as I use shift all the time with my assassin. It's taking some getting used to but it's GREAT.

I just have it on the mouse scroll wheel press. Works great.

It was finicky for me on the mouse scroll wheel press. Like sometimes it wouldn't stop rotating when I wanted it to. CTRL is magic for me.

CTRL freak, eh? ...No, I get it, no need to explain. To each his own.

I saw the Prophecy DLC is $10 on PSN so I'm going to pull the trigger on that today.

Could have got it ages ago on PC but when I played my Steam copy about a year ago it was still so poorly optimized. PS4 version still ends up looking & running better!

For the seasonal ranks, what counts as a consumable buff for tier 1? I thought they meant belt items but nothing I tried made the numbers go up, and neither do any of the injector mods. I’ve picked up a few things that look like they may be consumables, but the “use” option is greyed out during missions. My seasonal character is an Adept, if that affects the options in any way. I haven’t played much since the big revamp so I’m not familiar with some of the new mechanics.

You use a consumable before starting a mission, and they have various effects like an extra life (skull with rays coming out if it), higher chance at relic items (glowy book), more XP (pair of syringes making an X... don't ask), etc. They last several missions and you can only have one active at a time. You can buy them from Cap'n Sarcastic. One of the Tarot cards increases the chance of them dropping in Tarot missions.

I tried out the adept mechanicus dude. His gun has two summoning skills which kind of threw me off.

I’m still drawn back to my new crusader. Now that I’m rocking a grenade launcher and heavy flamer I’ve happily entered Boom Town. Population: every poor soul on this god forsaken fortress monastery!

Found this posted on the Martyr subreddit which is typically pretty subdued although I find nice resources like this every so often.

One error was pointed out in that video, it says you can't craft Archeotech items, but you can. You just have to find the extremely rare blueprints.

Is there anyway to refresh the random missions? I need to do purge missions at least 4 levels higher than me but all the missions available there are my same level or below.

You have to wait for the random missions to refresh. They refresh every few hours (?) I think.

You might want to check the map. Missions can show up on the map that aren't in the list.

Are there any Xbox Cabal's out there? I am getting ready to start this up.

Wanted to pop back in here to say that Grav-Gun is purdy suhweeet.

At first I wondered if this was really a thing in the W40K universe... but of course it is!

It's not really a great alt weapon to pair up with my main Heavy Flamer. Good in that it gives me more range but the best fire modes need me to get up closer anyway.

Does anyone know when consoles get Seasons?

OK, I think I might take a break now.

Such a fun ARPG.

A freaking steal for $20.

Checking in to see what the current thoughts are for a casual player new player? I played a bit today as Inquisitor was part of the free weekend play on Xbox. Seemed pretty good and a nice alternative to Diablo. The complete edition is only $14. If I understand things, Prophecy is a standalone expansion. Recommended to start there?

Thanks,
Chad

If you get the complete edition, Martyr launches it all. If you play the original 3 classes, you'll get the original Martyr campaign leading into the Prophecy campaign. If you play the Tech Adept, you'll get something of a Martyr side story and then also go full on into Prophecy. There's a ton of content there.

Get all of the bits if you like the game. There is a lot more variety that opens up as you progress, and then a ton of content to play through. It is more interesting than Diablo, that’s for sure. It’s become one of those games I just keep coming back to, over and over.
