[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

I keep seeing stuff like this and it is just a distraction. This type of thing is useless without knowing the context. Maybe 17 complaints is good and the officer average is 30? Maybe 98% of complaints have no action taken because they are just filed by vengeful criminals? This is just deceptive without more information and there is plenty of legitimate things to call out without resorting to this.

I live in Eagan, MN, which is a close-in suburb of the Twin Cities; the northern border is pretty much I-494, the loop around the metro. It's maybe 10 minutes from St. Paul and Minneapolis, depending on the route you take, and it's by and large full of nice retail, newer subdivisions, the Minnesota Vikings huge and shiny new HQ, and is, as suburbs go, definitely on the affluent side of things. We're close enough in that everything shut down yesterday and the police were out protecting the endless lines of strip malls that make up this town, so, while nothing happened directly here, there are lots of concerns and worries, and, suburbs or no, this is all happening very close to us, and we all need to really dwell on all the important issues that need to be discussed these days.

I hopped on Twitter this morning and searched on "Eagan", just to see if anything had happened. What did I find?

There is supposed leaks of what they were and they sounded bad but again in a mass amount of unverifiable information who knows what it is. Ripping down a target and burning a condo, autozone, or hell all of lake street being on fire isn't helping much either but it's happening and getting attention. IDK but loads of my city is burning and the response has been, well, maybe that guys neck was resisting arrest!

I have never been sure why resisting arrest is a reason to f*cking kill someone.

And slowly killing someone over 9 minutes at that...
During a pandemic?!

It's never the reason, only a post hoc justification.

Today was a day.

Saw on twitter today:

"Looked around, and as near as I can tell the longest police training course is around six months. Dude. I had to study eight years before anyone would let me teach art history."

That doesn't seem remotely legal.

Did we officially start the War on Democracy, yet?

Yes the GOP did last year with systematic voter suppression and the pandemic gave them cover to advance their agenda even further.

To be fair, they've been waging that war for decades.

hey Hillz, you know what else matters? Campaigns.

Can we be done with the HRC bashing? It has been 4 years and we have a pandemic going on.
I don't understand the need to ridicule her when her message is positive and poignant?

Playing the classics is a good way to get people to listen.

It is why I can still hear Led Zeppelin on the radio.
