Name that movie thread

An image search also turned up the answer rather easily. Kudos to everyone that didn't take such an easy path to claim the solution.

I love classic Hollywood movies & rather spend my time watching great films like this than bad new ones on Netflix.

No guesses? Here are a few hints.

This is one of the best-known stories in the old west. It's a true story, more or less.

Hollywood has made 13 movie versions of this story. That's probably some kind of record.

This movie isn't on AFI's Top 100 movies of all-time list but the actor on the left & director are on it multiple times.

Is it the assassination of Jesse James?

Nope

Gunfight at the O.K. Corral?

Def an Earp thing based on how many movies there are about it.

And a John Ford movie in all likelyhood. IMO, there are good movies in all eras, this one included. There are also a lot of crappy misogonistic, caucasian centric movies around, many of which existed in the 40s and 50s (as well as the aughts). Sorry, malo, but your intro statement to this struck me as off, especially in a GWJ thread.

...and given all that, going through the cream of the crop of that era of Hollywood would still net you a better batting average than the most recent netflix releases, and definitely give you dialogue scenes that were shot and staged more interestingly than just standard coverage. I don't see how that is in any way a #problematic statement.

Anyway, that guy on the right kind of reminds of Billy Drago, but it's clearly the wrong decade. I think a new hint is in order.

Despite their obvious "issues", I love old movies. Not the "system" that made those movies but the product. The movie.
Unfortunately, no one can go back to the "Golden Age" of Hollywood and say why didn't you consider the feelings of future generations when you made that film? Movies were and are mass entertainment, made to entertain and reflect the views of the people in that era. These were the movies Hollywood released because this was what America wanted to see when it was released. At least things are "better" now.
And, this is just my opinion. There are a lot of crappy movies on Netflix.

More clues. It is a Doc Holliday, John Ford OK Corral movie. The words "Tombstone", "Gunfight" or "OK Corral" do not appear in the title.

Spoiler:

There were a lot of crappy films in the studio system as well.

My Darling Clementine.

Free Play.

Patty Hearst?

Newp

That looks like.. um, whatchamacallit, the crappy Tarantino/Rodriguez double feature send-up of 70s slasher movies.

Grindhouse / Planet Terror / Death Proof.

Also nope. Hint after 1 more guess.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

Yes! "Its me Bren gun!"

Freeplay.

I love that movie. I guess its been too long since I've seen it.

It was my favorite as a teenager. I rewatched it recently and I dont think I can judge it through the nostalgia. I THINK its still good?

Admittedly, not a particularly good movie.

Blue Heat or something like that. I believe that is Gina Carrano playing a cop in one of those shots.
Obviously that is also Dave Bautista (Drax) in the other

Between Dave Bautista, Gina Carrano, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Robert De Niro, that can only be Heist. Which must be really terrible because that is alot of name recognition for a movie noone has heard about.

Heist.
It wasn't totally horrible. OTOH, I'm a sucker for caper movies.

Yup

And yup. Wasn't particularly good either. The actual Heist was a bit of a letdown. Probably should've been called "Speed."

I see what you did there.
