Diablo III Catch-All 2.0

So I'll just chime in here and say that you only really need Stricken when you're going over GR100 or when the RG is taking too long to take down (which is typically around 100+).

Depending on what you're doing, T16 Rift, GR Speed or GR Push, you'll want different gems for the Typhon set. Trapped and Enforcer are going to be your standard 2. If you're doing T16 then you can use a boon of the hoarder. For the non channel version you can chuck in the Zei's and for when you're pushing and using a Channeling build, you can then use Taeguk.

I've found with that setup, I can do T16 in about 2-3 mins, GR 90s in about 3-4 Mins and GR110 in about 6 Mins.

Enforcer or Taeguk as the second, eh? Which rings do you like?

As a side question, what do you all do with the legendary gems after a season ends? I've got most of a storage page filled with them, and clearly that's too many. Any thoughts? Keep or ditch?

Heh, I've lost so much gear due to being left to claim for over a month after the season ends.
But yeah, it makes no sense to keep copies of gems that haven't been ranked or are less than rank 20-25.

But I may start ranking them up for augments now that I have grown into an elite D3 haxxors GR master ;P

I have stopped keeping any that are not lvl 70. Still have an entire page full

Guess I need to get leveling gems lol

To clarify, I use Trapped and Enforcer as standard. The third gem will change to either Zei (GR SPeed), Taeguk (GR Push Channel) or BotH for T16 Gold farming.

For Rings, I'll go with a RoRG and Avarice for T16. Squirts necklace and Flavour of time in the cube. Helm is Magistrate, cube Taskers, Weapon Aether, cube Serpent.

Speed, I'll swap out the avarice for the ring that does up to 80% damage protection from lightning strikes with Zei.

Then for pushing, I'll use Serpent and Deathwish. Cube Magistrate and use Compass Rose and Trav Pledge.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

Got the knife and the mojo for the chicken build but it doesn't seem to be working.
I have the staff that does an aura of locust swarm so I wonder if that is breaking things.
It does make the chicken last 15 seconds but I thought it was supposed to explode every second?

It did before I got the set but no longer does it now that I do have the set.
I want to try it out for the boss run conquest before the season starts!

Which component is supposed to cause your Angry Chicken to explode every second?

Taco Bell?

Crunchwrap or die!

Hmm, as far as I'm aware, it never exploded every second. Only upon returning to normal form after Chicken form. The way it used to work with helltooth was you go chicken, find the elite and pop up back to normal, drop your buffs and then they die. Go back to chicken mode and away you go again to find the next elite.

Got it. I guess I was confused by the short cooldown without the set to thinking it was not triggered.

So, does anyone have an accurate paragon level xp calculator and GR xp reward calculator.
I have found:
https://www.d3xp.com/
http://rerollcalculator.com/Paragon (last updated in 2015)

But I believe they are out of date. The amount of xp for a GR clear seems accurate but I get less than 1 paragon level per GR 75 clear in under 5 minutes at paragon 799. Which doesn't jive.

According to the calculator, it should only take me 881 (from p0)GR level 75 clears under 5 minutes to reach paragon 2000. But in actuality, It seems like it will take me more than 2500 clears from p0. (or 1600 clears from where p799)

Those of you in the paragon 2000's can you list your paragon XP total or how much XP it will take you to get the next paragon level? Do we get bonus XP in the seasons?

No bonus XP in seasons, but you get XP buff from 'Strength in numbers' which is when you group up. This is why you see RAT runs being the go to method for paragon farming.

I'll be honest and the whole concept of grinding paragon is the quickest bore for me. I enjoy the season. The rush out the gates and how quick I can hit the GR100 after season launch. I finished last season on around Paragon 1200 or so. I played solo after the first couple of days and just enjoyed doing my rifts and looking for the better loot. Most days I'll put some music on and just run some rifts

Non season I'm Paragon 2200+ (can't remember exact number) but I can check my xp bar when I get home and let you know.

Nm the calculator was right. The xp calculated is xp per hour not xp per clear. I was just awarded 11 billion xp for a 5 minute clear of GR 75. Right now paragon levels are about 23 billion apart. You get about 8 billion xp from the kills in a GR.

Happy Season Patch Day!
Last minute thoughts:

The spirit barrage witch doctor is a lot of fun. If you want to go that route, the LoD version is easy to gear up @70 until the mundungo er whatever set pieces start to drop. The only thing preventing it from being easier is being squishy.

I hate the whole soul harvest mechanic so having a class reliant on it for defense is irritating. The good news is that you can have a weaker alternative with your summons. They do soak up some of your hits, prevent being focus fired and the dogs have life leech.

You need to find other avenues past T10 (with very average gear). One thing I'm tempted to try is the shield from the wildebeast gizzard gem. Another is the passive that makes spirit barrage return mana so that I can spam and keep aquila's up. There is also a pet passive that increases armor or provides damage redux.

I will say that I don't even have the butcher dagger so I am probably ignoring a huge damage boost. (BTW according to Rhykker, the LoD spirit barrage WD is one of the top solo GR builds in the game, the barrage set WD is the highest)

When will the season actually open today?

IIRC 5pm pacific

PACIFIC?!!!! Those monsters...

GR 102 cleared on night 1. Got to rank 11 on the solo leaderboard. I'm happy with that. Now I need sleep!

Spirit Barrage WD is fun yall. I'm only level 58 but gazed demise is easy to RNG at level 1 and I have been flying since hitting 17 (when you get spirit barage)

Is that related to a season set, Fang? Or just having fun? I love WD...

No. For 1-70, i am running dogs, gargantuan, spirit barrage, and haunt and acid cloud just for kicks. The pets are really more for soaking up hits for me. Gazed demise is a mojo that casts SB phantasm when you cast SB and gives you a dam% based on the number of phantasms out. I'm using the manitou rune but It does crazy damage (any rune) and I raced to 70 paragon 16 with it.

The next step is to get LoD and the barber (another boost to SB) until I start finding mundunugu's set. If it takes me a while to get the set, LoD SB on its own is a top tier solo class build. (like #6 or #7 with mundunugu's being #1)

I just got Manald Heal for my mage, so suddenly everything I use is electric based. Laying waste to everything around me as I level lol.

I'm level 40 and have found three sweet legendaries with no legendary affixes

You'll get there. Everything before 70 is basically play time, anyway. You won't keep any of that stuff after, unless you have a modified piece to level another character (Leoric's Crown, definitely, with a big ol' ruby in it, and a really buff 2H 70 legendary sword modded to level 1).

Some of those legendaries don't have affixes. (yet) But most likely some of them have affixes you can't see because it is for another class. You can search for them to find out or list them here. I'm sure one of us will know.

Class-specific legendary affixes show up normally when the item drops for a different class.

I was talking about filler items like, say, Doombringer, Wildwood, Exarian, etc. Or the bane of my D3 existence - Mempo of #@*?% Twilight, which always seems to drop eight times more often than any other item
