Monster Hunter World Catch-All

I should be able to join tonight, and I need help with the rock monster near the end of the campaign

Absolutely! ?'s days are numbered.

Monster Hunter: Prepare to Die Edition

Well, this will be exciting.

Brachydios is my least favorite monster to fight. The combination of his direct attacks, area-denial, and inflicting blastblight is just a pain. Yeah, a little anti-blast prep solves many problems, but I always try to be arrogant and think I can handle a quick hunt without swapping gear.

We'll just see what he's like when raging. How bad could it be? ☠️☠️☠️

Late notice, but can't make it tonight. Happy hunting for any of you that do.

I'm on, just made a PS4 parteee.

I'm in the Mid 60 MR wise -- I want to hunt a Nergigante, which is only available at MR 100. Whats the best way to get up there? I just rotate through the limited bounties week to week, and occasionally go on a tangent to get specific weapons/armor. That Stygian long sword, looks wicked cool, and I hate long swords. So thats something.

There are event quests that give bonus to HR/MR. It should say so in the description. That's probably the fastest way, but it'd be more efficient to go to the Guiding lands and level up some of that. That'll get you a good amount of MR and materials you'll want for weapon augments.

Doing all of the optionals is a completionist way. It normally gets you something too. But, the quickest is the events. If you're looking for a specific weapon/armor just build others in the mean time. The fastest way to burnout for me is to grind for a goal that's a long time down the road.

We could do We Three Kings, which says it's good for raising your Master Rank. Kirin, Kushala Daora, and Teostra. Not exactly easy mode.

New this week is Heavy Metal in the Waste, which is a five-monster quest with increased chances for Gold Crowns. That's good for MR, with the potential for some extra meaningless checkmarks!

I've been trying to get some friends to join us; they're in the Iceborne content, but near the beginning. So we could always knock out a few of those quests, too.

The kicker of that trifecta is Kushala. Kirin & Teostra go down pretty easy, but without a counter for all the cyclones he likes to cover the field with, Kushala can be a right pain in the butt. All Wind Pressure Negated is worth its weight in gold.

That's certainly why I still have a bunch of high-rank materials I want to farm from Kushala. I'm okay with dealing with penalties or extra damage; I can stay alive while fighting Vaal Hazak at close range, or compensate for the stamina drain from Velkhana. But Kushala Daora says, if you didn't explicitly tailor your build for this fight, you just can't participate.

I'm on! A bit late, anyone left?

It's almost PS4 Monster Hunter time!

Let's see what we've got in event quests this week! There's Desert Dash for raising MR, and Symphony of the Coral that might produce some gold crowns. Opportunities to fight Scarred Yian Garuga and Stygian Zinogre, too, although I really need stuff from the Guiding Lands more than standard quests.

As usual, I don't actually need anything, and will fight whatever you throw at me. I have a couple friends relatively new to Iceborne that I've been playing through the story with, so maybe a couple assigned quests if they end up joining us!

Safi's back?

Who's up for some Safi smashing...TONIGHT

?

Absolutely, I'm in!

I should be there as well!

Gol durn Safi'jiiva. Never quite had a solid, complete run on it.

So, I checked - looks like the consensus is that you can't FF-Jump Safi'jiiva's big badda boom. With Behemoth, you just need to dodge the shockwave, but Safi's burst explodes, then keeps exploding more.

Well, we learned we have to go to a more populated server at least...unless we get like 8 Goodjers rolling. eh? Eh?

If this game was cross platform, getting 8 goodjers would certainly be doable...

I haven't touched the game for weeks since I hit a wall and got busy with other things, but I guess it would be a good time to help others on PS4 since my evenings are now more open (injured and cannot train, lovely).

If you can make it this evening, it's Monster Hunter Monday again on PS4; we usually get on between 5-6 PST.

As usual, I'm good with anything. Safi'jiiva is still around, and Alt Rock Recess would be a fun five-monster brawl. I also have We Run This Town to do, which is also a five-monster gauntlet. But that'll all depend on who shows up, and what we need to tackle!

I've been spending time this week grinding the Guiding Lands, trying to make sure I've fought every monster and tempered monster at least once. I finally ran into Brute Tigrex, too. He loud.

I expect to be there tonight (especially since even though the gym is not closed, it's probably safer to avoid it). I've been going back to vanilla MHW content trying to get the Monster Ph.D trophy (max research level), but I'm up for anything.

If nothing else, I'm up for that. I think I need Silver Rathalos and Brute Tigrex to complete my research.

I haven't even unlocked either of those, you're way ahead of me!

Small things and big things this week!

We have Furious Rajang and Raging Brachydios added to the game as special assignments. I haven't tried or even really looked into these guys, but they were already some of my most troublesome fights, before they added 'Furious' and 'Raging' in front.

Safi'jiiva is going away soon; just a few more days to farm her.

Other than that, Monday can be whatever! I kinda did too much grinding last week, trying out different ideas, so I am totally down for chill hunting.

It's Monster Hunter Monday! I haven't posted in a while, but we've still been playing every week on PS4. I'll be on from 5-7ish PST.

More monsters, a new seasonal fest, Safi'jiiva is back to grind...I'm down for whatever. I could use some tempered materials from the Guiding Lands, but everyone would need to be MR 100; I'm in no rush there. Let's hunt and be fashionable!

I have totally lost track of mondays!

I know! We miss you!
