It sounds like it's going to be another winner.
This is a fantastic discussion (the game is over which is why the titles are rolling at the start.) Troy Baker gets a bit hyperbolic at times but, apart from that, it's a wonderful insight into the processes and the ideas behind creating the game.
Looks like Beautiful Desolation (from the developers of Stasis) hit the mark.

Now I want to buy a VR set...
Yes, I’ve never been so tempted.
I’ve tried VR a few times and while it’s been cool it never blew me away until I tried SUPERHOT last week. Now that I’ve seen how intense a well put together shooter can be in VR I’m even more excited for Alyx.
Adam Savage (and others) have done videos on how well Alyx works with the various VR headsets available:
We’ve been waiting so long for more Half Life. When I visited Valve’s offices a few years ago I couldn’t help myself and I jokingly asked my contact where the Half Life 3 team was sitting. That got an uncomfortable laugh. I honestly had lost faith we’d ever see an official Half Life game again.
I looked up the cost and it would be about $1000. That cooled my enthusiasm quite a bit.
Back to the normal rule about hardware - when there are 10 or more games I want to play on it I will consider buying it.
Oculus Quest with the PC cable is a lot cheaper if you have a good enough video card already and is apparently pretty good (if you don’t mind the lower framerate). There are some cheaper Window Mixed Reality headsets as well that aren’t the latest and greatest but can run it.
Personally I’m going to borrow VR hardware from a friend just for Alyx. I’m pretty impressed with the best VR can do these days but like you I’m not yet ready to buy my own. Thankfully I have friends who’ve already offered to lend me the hardware once they are done playing Alyx themselves.
Ghost of Tsushima - Story Trailer | PS4
I'm glad it has a release date. I'm not sure if the game is going to feel too Assassin's Creedy but I adore just about everything in regards to their approach to the game.
Any consolevania fans here? Wasn't really a fan of the last series bar a couple of standout episodes, but this was much more fun.
I haven't been in a rush to borrow VR equipment from friends or order anything new online to play Alyx so I still haven't tried it but it looks amazing and reviews are mostly gushing about it. The comparison between Alyx and Boneworks is interesting.
Sounds like it isn’t quite as successful as the RE2 remake.
The Allies talking about Doom: Eternal.
"Doom dude."
Someone posted this in the shmups discord recently. I haven't played fighting games since I was a teen, and although it's centred around the genre, there are some universal takeaways.
S'good.
Neil Druckmann highlighted this fan made trailer. It’s rather good but there is some strong violence.
