One sentence life tips and advice thread

Judge your problems by Olympics - in 4 years all the stuff you're worried about now will be gone (and probably replaced by new problems)

If you want to learn a new language it's better to practice 15 minutes every day than an hour three times a week.

Deadlifts.

If you have to spend money on one article of clothing, go with good shoes.

Smile at strangers but keep your shoulders square.

If I didn't understand an interview question (or need some more time to think of a good response), ask "In what context do you mean that?"

Never let perfect be the enemy of good.

Always make tea.

Never deal in absolutes.

Never buy cheap one something that’s stays between you and the ground. (Shoes, bed, tires, basement, etc.).

Never be too proud to ask for help.

Stop slouching and sit up straight.

The key to happiness is to stop worrying about what other people think about you - the only person whose opinion matters on that subject is you!

Judge people what they do, not what they are.

People show what they're really like when they're drunk or with people less powerful than them (eg tramps, waiters)

Make life choices that won't leave you with regrets.

Vote to make life better for people less fortunate than you

Life is too short to drink crappy alcohol.

Things are usually pretty easy to figure out if you're willing to spend a minute looking at them.

Also, to steal one, given a number of potential explanations for anything, the simplest solution is probably right.

Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.
