Barbie's newest line has wide range of dolls. Some have vitiligo, some have prosthetic limbs, guys with long hair, bold women, and mixed race dolls.

They also have one in a wheelchair.

Man, that is one complicated looking model.

It is! The RG line is like that. Honestly the complexity was part of the appeal because it would keep me buys for far longer than a Lego set.

Amazon has cosmic ghost rider at retail cost now. Been a hot item as of late that has been hit by scalpers. I'm pretty sure this isn't special and will be in every store in a month.

All gone, back up to bad prices.

Oh man I just went to the store and almost all the hot wheels are gone. This darn virus is causing people to hoard all the hot wheels. I just got some hot wheel display ideas and now this.

Oh this is the video that gave me some ideas.

I actually have one of the cases. I also have a few cases similar to his double door case that I never thought to use a display case.

Earthrise Transformers are great

So I bought one of those barbie dolls. One of the cool ethnic ones. I also thought she needed clothes so while everyone was fighting over toilet paper I was in the girl section buying barbie clothes. Luckily there were no kids in the toy section. Then I would have to wait for them to clear out because it is kind of weird for grown dude to be buying barbie clothes. Hmmm I wonder if people are leaving the kids at home with this virus scare.

Any ideas on what I should name her? Certis maybe? Oh and I bought all the wonder woman themed barbie clothes.

I couldn't resist.

^^^ Who is that guy with the hamster on his head?

Minsc & Boo.

Have you heard of this weird thing called "being a dad"?

What are you going to let me borrow your kid so I don't have to look weird?

Funny story. I use to babysit my cousin. Since I have like a toy store in my house she loved it. Anyway, fast forward a few years later. Mom tells me she is coming over to the house and its her birthday. I decide to buy her a game console, games, and girl toys. That girl is like a woman now but I was thinking of her as a little kid. She is taller than I am. I was like oops I guess I screwed up. However, she loved that stuff. I guess I turned her into a big nerd without knowing it.

I finished another Gundam model. Gundam Crossbones RG.

Are there other science fiction model lines that are as intricate as the Gundam models? Particularly, ones that are snap together rather than glued. One can only build so many Gundams before it gets to be monotonous. I'm thinking something besides robots.

If you want something different there are some laser cut balsa wood models that use minimal gluing during the build.

I’ve been coping with lockdown in part by picking up Transformers. My latest.

Man, I want. Nice!

That is one of my favorite figures. Still need to get a flight stand for him or try to make one. The siege line in general has some nice box art,

Yeah. He's my first large discrete figure of the newer generations. Not counting Abominus.

He has me rethinking possibly getting a Titan at some point. I'm a huge fan of the Headmasters and I avoided Fort Max, because his size seemed preposterous.

Now that I've handled Jetfire... maybe not.

My brother asked me to take this picture and wow the scale appears to be off in this respect.

That Jetfire looks awesome!

I haven't bought a Transformer since the mid-90s (when I got all the Stunticons, if I remember correctly), but having recently read for the first time all of Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye and Lost Light has me wanting to get some figures to put together my Lost Light crew.

I always wanted to get a Jetfire, especially the first (I think) model that came out, which looked pretty much like the Valkyrie from Robotech, but red and white. I remember begging my parents to get it for me, but it never happened. I should indulge myself now...

I dredged up my old Mega Force toys from my in-laws basement this weekend and now my 3.5 yr old is in love with tanks. The Mega Force big stuff was all plastic, but the mini tanks, helicopters and planes were all die cast metal and well detailed.

Do you guys know of anything comparable toy lines to them that are metal? Was thinking of getting him some more tanks, but didn't want to get some cheap plastic stuff he'd break in a day.

Not sure if you want to give a young kid a 2-3 pound hunk of metal to throw around the house.

I do know that the old GI Joe MOBAT tank was a dense piece of plastic that I couldn't destroy with a BB gun. Plus it moves. I'm sure you can still find some and I can't imagine that they are that popular.

Plus there are these laser-tag tanks that my son and I had a bit of fun with.

Yeah, I had that tank. Didn't even think of it.

I'm not thinking of getting stuff quite that big. The Mega Force stuff is like Micro Machine sized.

What are people's thoughts on Zoids?

Wore the spring out in mine as a kid (as well as lost a bunch of the end connectors).

I haven't thought about Zoids since I was a kid in the early 70s. I think had these three:

I always thought the little driver in the head was pretty cool. Kind of like a tiny Micronaut (Piconaut?)

Reminds me of Robotix sets.

God I loved those.

Oh I was talking about the model kit versions without the motors. I guess they make a few different models.
