Wasn't trying to pick a fight. I guess it is another circumstance of where I live, SF Bay Area. I want to say we have been having Beyond Beef, Morningstar and the like for over 10 years(?)

I had the best fake fried chicken at a restaurant in Oakland back in 2009. (There barbecue shredded chicken was outstanding as well) . They have the best "cheddar" grits. (nut cheese)

The North Yorkshire Police recovered some stolen property last year. Among the items are a "distinctive silver ring", but they haven't been able to track down the owner. They posted a message on Facebook asking for help:

There's so many fascinating differences in how people think. I suspect that internal monologues are on a spectrum like mental images are, but I'm not familiar with whatever research there is on internal monologues.

For mental images, at least, there's the full range from people who picture nothing at all (aphantasia) to people who conjure extremely vivid imagery in their mind's eye (hyperphantasia) with most people being in-between.

Before reading that, I would have said I have an internal monologue since I think in full sentences but I absolutely can't hear myself thinking. If I could hear myself talking in my head, I probably wouldn't talk to myself out loud so much.

I don't see mental pictures and it blew my mind to find out that most people do when something was posted about it here a few years ago.

Henneguya Salminicola, a tiny soft drink that lives in salmon tissue, does not require oxygen, because it does not use adenosine triphosphate (ATP), because it lacks mitochondria. Scientists discovered this lack of mitochondria on accident while searching for the mitochondria in the ten-celled microbe. After asking each other where the mitochondria were, and each claiming that they thought someone else had the mitochondria, they eventually realized there were no mitochondria in the first place.

They still don't know how Henneguya Salminicola generates energy.
