Up 10 at half with only 2 points from Jordan Nwora. Holy crap. FINISH!
Well, Duke crawled back in it... But there's a ton of time left.

What a close out performance by Louisville. Nwora has a seriously subpar game, and they still pull off the win.
Whew! Huge win.
But if David Johnson reinjured his shoulder we're f*cked long term. He's the reason we're top 5 vs top 25
Yeah, I seriously hope he's not sidelined for any extended period. Hate to see talented kids injure/reinjure themselves during games! He's definitely on the short list of reasons why Louisville won today.
I believe
I believe that we will win!
And the streak continues to 19-0.

It was close early, but SDSU figured things out in the 2nd half.

A bit.
Only three teams had made a three in every game they'd played in the 34 years since the inception of the 3 point line in college basketball. Princeton, UNLV, and Vanderbilt.
And after 1,080 games, Vandy broke their streak in their game with UT, going 0-25 for threes. Near the end of the game, they did hit one, only to have it erased because it didn't beat the shot clock.
UT's basketball twitter person won the night with a post game celebratory dig on the Commodores:

Man, college basketball is not as fun this year as last year. Lots of chaos which is fun, but basketball is just bad for some reason.
Lets see if SDSU can withstand the curse of the Top 5. Fingers crossed.
Right before I assumed Kansas was going to beat my struggling this year Vols this weekend. Might be an easier game than expected.
A work of art.
Lots of articles about it today. I happened to see the event on replay... wow. I agree with Vitale and Greenberg on repercussions. Players need to be suspended, potentially for the rest of the season. I wouldn't be surprised at them forfeiting all remaining eligibility.
Kansas:
De Sousa 12 games
McCormack 2 games
KSU:
Love 8
Gordon 3
The benches that cleared basically got no punishment. You know, that whole Big 12 vs SEC thing is coming this weekend
Huh, so UNC is down yet another player for tonight's game against V Tech, senior guard Brandon Robinson? Can they just take the L now and save the team a trip to Blacksburg?
WTF
In most situations getting ejected makes you sit out for at least half of the next game.
I think that's conference by conference for things like this. It's not like football targeting when there's an NCAA defined punishment.
I honestly don't know the right answer for those lessor actors in this type of situation. One one hand, some of them look like they're going in to protect their own guys or maybe try to pull them out and de-escalate, but how do you know they're not wading in to start slinging punches of their own? It's really lucky somebody in the crowd wasn't seriously hurt.

Yeah, that was press and wheelchair viewing area, wasn't it? I mean, the melee alone could have caused injury to the bystanders and media. Bad look all around, frankly. I don't think the punishments are sufficient aside from Sousa's.
Leaving the bench was enough to get them automatically tossed from that game. But with less than a second left, that's not really a punishment. Seems like the whole bench for both teams should miss at least one full game. Can't have a precedent for leaving the bench and no punishment.
It's not even just that it was a second left, it's that by the score, the game was already done so those free throws were pretty much live practice shots
I should never have watched! It's even worse to lose in double OT on a last second drive to the basket because you thought they'd call a time out. GAH.
Damn man I saw UNC up 9 after our game, thought they had one
I think so did everyone. Just a combination of shots falling, not falling, and hesitancy to be "the guy". Confidence is still a major problem... that, and a primary ball handler. We've started 4 or 5 guys at point this season, and rhythm is an issue.
Ah well. At least they were fighting for it in this one.
