Installed Game You Have Not Played in The Longest Time

What video game currently installed on your computer or console have you not played in the longest amount of time?

According to Steam I last played Farcry 3 on November 5th, 2015 and YET I have continued to not uninstall it as I keep meaning to finish it when I get around to it.

I play a lot of games that don't necessarily have a straight narrative arc, and focus more on replayability for experimentation with new strategies going for "perfect" records. So I end up never uninstalling them because I think "well what if I want to play a few quick rounds?"

Looks like I racked up 400 (!) hours on XCOM 2 three years ago and haven't touched it since.

Then, uh, 350 (!) hours on Invisible, Inc. right after that. So about 2 years ago.

Then 250 (!) hours of Cultist Simulator.

And about a year ago about 100 hours of Frostpunk.

It's kind of like how I listen to music. I'll play an album/song to death and then rarely revisit it. But I stand by all of those choices. Very tightly designed/balanced games.

According to Steam, it's Command & Conquer - Red Alert 3: Uprising. Last played May 18, 2015, still installed.

Not sure why I stopped. Got a few missions in. I should just finish it up.

Oh, oh, oh
For the longest time
Oh, oh, oh
For the longest
If I finished Far Cry 3 tonight
There would still be Taken left to fight
What else could I do?
Perhaps play Two Worlds II?
I've had them all installed for the longest time

Thought my TF2 habit was gone
All these hats prove that I was wrong
Such a backlog of games
It grows just like my shame
I've had them all installed for the longest time

Oh, oh, oh
For the longest time
Oh, oh, oh
For the longest
Finally got Witcher 3 last fall
Forgot that I pre-ordered Greedfall
And yet to my horror
I keep buying more
I've had them all installed for the longest time

I must try to finish what I start
I'll say to myself "You don't need Atomic Heart"
Now I know just how many games there are
Why did I buy "My Summer Car"?
It's more than I've got time for

This huge backlog's got me in a funk
But I can't wait for Cyberpunk
I want it so bad
And yet still I know that
I've had these games installed for the longest time

Steam is marking Waking Mars in 2013, but that can't be right, I've never played that game. So the correct answer is actually Tales from the Borderlands since December 13th, 2015.
I really want to play that again, it was so good.

That's now stuck in my head and you're a monster.

I have a couple of games installed that have been installed longer than this, but it does not look like those have been played. This one I finished pretty fast.

I have a surprising number from 2009-2011. Lazy game hoarder FTW I guess.

God how do y'all find this out?

Fun fact! Just today I uninstalled everything in my Steam account bar 1 (one) game and my goal this year is to try to keep it at just one game at a time as I try to work through a chunk of the backlog.

I wiped and reinstalled on my desktop a few months ago, so that's relatively safe. But on my laptop I have Hammerwatch, which I apparently played for a few minutes on September 20, 2015.

I have all 5 episodes of the TellTale Homestar Runner games installed since they were released and yet I only ever played the 1st episode. My distaste of point/click adventure games apparently outweighs my love of Homestar Runner.

It's on your steam account if you sort it by last played.

Also, if you have a Games drive you can sort by date in your OS for all the not-Steam games.

I bought a new PC in August 2018, so nothing installed longer than that. But I would guess Torchlight would be the culprit. That or Black Mesa.

Ohhh, well since the PC is only a year or so old it's not really gonna work out for me then. I'll come back in three years.

You don't move hard drives between builds? :gasp:

BioShock 2. Someday I'll play Minerva's Den. I know how great it is because people keep f*cking telling me. Hence it still being installed.

When I built my current computer, I optimistically installed a few games that I thought I might get back into. Which is how I have Civ V and Kentucky Route Zero, which I last played in January 2014, on a computer I built in December 2018.

Mine is game called Waveform. “ Navigate the beauty and hazards of the solar system while riding a wave of light“ Last played on April 16 2018.

Actually I’d forgotten about it but remember was a fun little action-puzzle game. Will have to give it another spin (or should that be wave?)

This thread made me boot up Cubixx HD for the first time since 2016.

I tend to leave games with a teeny memory footprint installed ad infinitum, regardless of whether i actually intend to play them again. Got my rig in 2016, so that game has likely been installed for the life of that machine.

Ori and the Blind Forest, last played December 1, 2016. Really not sure how I haven't gone back and finished that one yet.
