NFL 2019: Week 14

49ers-Saints today, 49ers-Seahawks already and coming up again. There's been a high number of contests between teams with 2 or less losses 10 weeks into the season. Crazy lucky scheduling year.

Do not blow this lead, LA.

EDIT: Letting 37 yard field goals get blocked is blowing it, LA.

EDIT 2: That's more like it, LA.

Jalen Ramsey beat on 3rd and 22.

Thanks for the draft picks.

Better tackling than anyone in a Jags jersey has done all year

Nice job avoiding the blocker and a decent tackle on someone in a different weight class.

Never really thought about it, but it is surprising that running has not been a bigger part of Tannehill's game all this time. He was a wide receiver for the first half of his college career. He ran a 4.58 40 at his pro day. He has always had wheels, but very limited rushing attempts at the NFL level.

He did a lot of running in Miami, but most of it was away from his offensive line who couldn't block a hallway.

It's worth noting that the Raider who half-assed the block and allowed Tannehill back into the play is also a former Dolphin - Dion Jordan.

1) Don't lay that curse on us!!!!

2) He would still be the best coach we've had since the re-release.

Yeah, that was a textbook tackle.

Related: Ryan Tannehill might actually be good! The Titans are kinda rolling these days.

Just read that Tannehill is being pressured the 2nd least in the league. He used to be Carr-like under pressure, so it may in large part be that.

I also blame Gase. I think he gets a second year in NJ, but I expect a mid-season firing next year.

Also, here's an amazing factoid from that same article:

On Sunday, Austin Ekeler totaled 101 rushing yards on just eight carries. Through the air, he totaled 112 receiving yards on just four catches (five targets). This was the first time in NFL history a player posted a 100/100 game on fewer than 15 touches.

Neat!

People speculating this is the year Ryan Tannehill finally turns it on?

Ah, tradition.

Someone might have been there already.

I don't appreciate that phrasing

How are people still fans of this team? I guess they think it is ok to cheat as much as possible as long as they win.

Didn't deny it though.

And maybe I meant his brother.

You got to be f*cking kidding me. Arlen is dead but sh*t somebody needs to resurrect exactly why the NFL destroyed all the initial investigation materials.

Thursday Night Football came 3 days early this week. What a wretched game so far...

My 6yo tonight: Daddy. Why don't you like the Patriots?

Me: Because they don't follow the rules and cheat.

6yo: that's not ok.

He then proceeded to ask me all the teams he knows and if they cheat. I said no.

6yo: It's not fair to cheat.

Doing my part to ruin that org's brand for the next generation!

I love holding penalties when there's no holding.

Oh man, looks like Wentz was tackled right into Lane's leg in the worst way. That's just dreadful.

Giants are going to stick with Eli again, aren't they?

I can't wait to find out none of the Eagles coaching staff is getting replaced next year.

I haven't heard booing like that in Philly since Santa Claus came to town.

That Eli guy might be pretty good!

Also, too: I'm loving that new ABC Monday night comedy show "MNF." Good stuff!

I mean WTF, Dallas has no business in the playoffs and no matter what they do the other teams hand them the division.

That Mike Groh guy?

He's the one that should be gone next year, if no one else.

So in hindsight I am realizing that the Eagles started playing their worst after that players only meeting. With the exception of Ertz, the star offensive players have failed to deliver. Meanwhile, some of the newer players have shone. Howard and Scott most of all, but Dillard and Ward have made good plays or done well too.

Regardless, good run, too bad they couldn't clinch it.

Vaitai is so worthless.
