LF a gaming PC and a 42 inch monitor.

Looking to get out of this as cheap as possible. I've looked at the cyber mon deals and nothing poppec. Maybe I just need a few new pairs of eyes?

Have you considered building your own? You'll get much better performance for significantly cheaper and you may learn something along the way!

Don't poessess the tools or dexterity I'm afraid.

Only tool you need is a philips screwdriver, but I understand building your own being a bit intimidating for a first-timer. It's hard to give you any advice without knowing what your budget is.

Six hundred give or take minus monitor which I would like to replace a tv set so has to be at least 42 inches.

www.techbargains.com is a good site to go for prebuilt specials.. you can get a decent gaming PC from Dell or HP these days.. they wont use top of the line components but for the most part will perform decently. In terms of monitors 43" is a problematic size since at that size you're strictly stuck with 4K screens that require significant PC power to drive so that might be less than ideal. You could probably get one of those crazy 49" ultrawides that are 3440X1080 which would lessen the GPU power required to drive the native resolution but I don't love that option given the non standard resolution.

You might be better off just getting an TV and connecting via HDMI. HDMI can't do 60 FPS 4K + HDR at this time due to bandwidth limitations but a PC in that range wouldn't effectively handle that either so it's not like you'd be mismatched in terms of performance ceiling.

Well I'll be danged. Just looked on PCPartPicker, and the largest 1080p monitors available are 32". A TV does seem like a better idea.

Looks like I made it past black and cyber without a new comp. Its okay
