NFL 2019: Week 13

Gardner Minshew's back at QB.

For those that haven't followed the Jags, Doug Marrone declared this past week that Foles would be the starter the rest of the season. So, yeah.

I'm just surprised that everyone is slipping but Lamar. He picked the right cleats to wear today!

No defensive end should go crashing after the RB on these read option plays. Letting the RB go up the gut is not nearly as dangerous as biting and giving the outside of the field to Lamar.

Some defensive coordinator is going to figure this out at some point.

Guess that'll show everyone in Philly saying we should have kept Foles?

Ah, glad to see the old Eagles defense is back.

Jackson with the fumble.

That was simply a great tackle/strip. Normally Lamar carries the ball like a maniac to sneak through tiny cracks, but this fumble was all fundamental football tackling.

In other news, Lamar needs to clean up his throws, they're way off the mark in this weather and actively hurting the O. (Cause the Ravens don't have Kittle. Lol)

Bosa stood there for a play in the first half, Lamar read it and the RB ran for 8 anyway.

Yep. And Bosa should still do that every play like that. The Lamar outside run is far worse.

Going 4th-and-1 out of the shotgun was not the best call.

Not looking good for the Niners.

Yeah, that 4th down they failed was probably their shot to win. Should have kept it on the ground.

Right. Offensive pass interference that didn't happen after a defensive pass interference that didn't happen. Putting on my tinfoil hat and declaring the refs have been bought by whoever wants Dallas in the playoffs.

Don't care if it's real or not. Makes sense given some of the officiating and given no one will care about this game the officials could get away with it and no one would bat an eye.

No timeouts and in field goal range. Yeah, not good.

Okay. That was terrible for my blood pressure

The Niners still have a chance to miss the playoffs completely.

Yep, Niners needed that conversion. They had their opportunity to control the end of the game.

Well, 10-2 with two of the most competitive losses you'll ever see.

Cant believe they didn't call timeout and run one more play. Tucker is money, but damn.

If these teams meet in the Super Bowl I don't like the Ravens chances.

lamar had a very off day

Hell of a game though.

That was a catch by Agholor.

Dolphins out here trying to win games again

Cincinnati won, letting the rest of the field close the gap.

Miami trying to throw it away.

We're gonna end up with the Giants drafting #1 overall and they won't even take a QB.

Pretty sure I am done with this season. See you guys in the Super Bowl thread.

Legion,

Tough break. Great game. Looking forward to the rematch.

Paleo

If I'm New Orleans, I'm actively pondering the notion of using Teddy Bridgewater next week against the Niners.

That's why I don't follow any one team super hard. When they suck it really ruins your day. I'm from Baltimore and a Ravens fan, but I'm no longer emotionally involved so when they lose it generally doesn't ruin my day.

I'm sort of a Browns fan by location, kind of like Denver after spending a decade there (f*ck Elway tho) and have a very tiny soft spot for the Colts. I'm pretty indifferent to the NFC but would like to see the Cardinals begin to be good again because I used to Dynasty mode them in Madden to create an alternative reality where the organization is good. I used to do the same for the Jags, but can't stand them now because of Legion.

We all feel that way about the Jags.

I’m convinced that this is the appeal of fantasy football

Me three to be honest.

This was the game in this 3-week murderer's row that I though the Niners might get gashed.

That it was a game to the final second makes me somewhat happy.

Niners had the ball in Ravens territory with the chance to drive for the clock-bleed and score themselves. Throwing it on 4th-and-1 gave me bad flashbacks to how the team lost the Super Bowl to the Ravens. I pretty much would run it 10 times out of 10 in that situation. Might not catch anyone by surprise, but it has the best odds regardless - it's damn hard to stop a team from running for 1 yard, and if it's a stalemate between the two lines, the momentum of the runner will get that 1 yard.

I thought the Ravens screwed up by going on 4th-and-5 instead of punting to pin the Niners deep, but the Niners blowing the 4th-and-1 prevented it from biting them in the butt.

Now that this game is over, I'm cheering for the Ravens to give Brady a Dan Marino style playoff retirement game, and make it to the Super Bowl. And I hope the Niners meet them there.
