Smash TV

More Money! More Prizes!

Def one of my fave arcade games of all time. And Space Harrier.

I wore out my thumbs on the SNES version.

Baron got it, Smash TV.

wow did I win a microwave?

Is that No One Lives Forever? I remember trying the fan-made modernization attempt a few years ago, but didn't get very far.

Yep, the original game works fine on modern computers.

Damn I loved NOLF back in the day.

Bolo?

It is indeed Bolo. I played many hours of that with my friends in High School, in the computer room full of a few dozen Mac Pluses over Appletalk. Now that's what I call a LAN party.

I almost completely missed the party on that one — by the time I found out Bolo existed, everybody was playing Marathon instead.

Free play!

This is definitely too easy, but hey, it's Friday, and who wants to think too hard?

Full Throttle!

Full Throttle!

Doh, too slow.

BushPilot gets the win! I recently replayed Full Throttle on my phone with a SCUMM emulator, and it's just as good as back in the day.

Don't Starve the sidescroller?

It's an indie puzzle-platformer, and it's less than 10 years old

I guess I'm the only one who played 2013's Closure. It was pretty cool, the core mechanic being that surfaces only existed if you directed light onto them.

Never heard of that one, but it did remind me of this:

I played that demo! The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom. Always wanted to get the full game, but never did.

Correct! I enjoyed it, but it probably got a bit lost in the post-Braid rush of puzzle platformers.

Apparently developed by The Odd Gentlemen, who went on to do that recent King's Quest episodic game. That's a game I meant to play but never did.

You're up!

I was also interested in that King's Quest game... but never played it either. Poor Odd Gentlemen.

In any case, here's mine. It's one of my favorite arcades of all time, and I would love to see a remaster for current-gen systems:

It was published in 1991 for PC, Amiga, Atari ST and C64. You could play co-op with a friend (or an enemy, I guess), and there were about 30 levels. Here's another screenshot:

... developed by Arcade Masters (a very aptly named studio)...

I can honestly say I've neither seen nor heard this game.

The first screenshot looks like something I may have once seen in a magazine back then....maybe.

Not a clue at any rate.
