I remember thinking "watch, United will win this."

And they could've, probably should've

Liverpool were poor yesterday but I didn’t think that the draw was unfair. Rashford’s goal - as good as it was - shouldn’t have stood. Origi was fouled and the inability - or unwillingness - of the VAR team to overturn controversial decisions is a problem. If it’s not doing that, what’s the point? That Mane ‘handballed’ when he scored is the letter of the law and fine, VAR picked that up but my god ‘any contact between hand and ball is automatic handball in the penalty area’ is probably one of the stupidest rules to have been created. Let me put it this way - if that had been the defender there is no way it should be a penalty.
Klopp has a bit of a problem with Old Trafford in that he always sets up Liverpool too defensively. Once Oxlaide-Chamberlain was on the pitch Liverpool dominated and got a deserved equaliser.

I thought United did pretty well until they tired towards the end. OGS seemed to have found a formation and squad that were capable and willing to put in the hard graft. The problems at United are mostly with the owners and Woodward.

Arsenal should of done better.

Well done United!

Sheffield United, best United.

How in god's name did I forget that my new gig means I can afford the NBC Sports Premier League pass?

EDIT: AND OF COURSE THEY NEED ME TO HAVE CABLE TO WATCH ON PS4. Blech.

Well, whatever, i'm mostly watching the games in the background while I play FM.

Some good results in the CL tonight for the English teams - an excellent 1-0 away win for Chelsea against Ajax, who were good value for their win by all accounts, and a solid 4-1 victory for Liverpool against a very spirited and good Genk side. If Genk could actually finish that scoreline would have been a lot tighter in a night were Liverpool were once again disjointed in Defence and occasionally very lethargic in attack. Still some really excellent goals from Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane and Salah had Liverpool well in control by the middle of the second half before Genk got a consolation.

Liverpool seem to be on a bit of come down from winning the CL last season (both domestically and in European competition) but are still finding a way if not to win, then at least not lose. Handy trait to have when really, you aren't playing to your usual standard.

Eh this I'm not too worried about, they were minus Trent and Matip due to knocks/illness. So long as those are not longer term issues, they should be fine.

Sabitzer's goal was pretty cool, eh?

Hope this Twitter link works for all...

Woof. That curve.

A work of art.

Imagine if Arsenal could put together like, a solid month. Just one solid month.

EDIT: Well, aren't Arsenal glad they signed Nicolas Pepe?

To pull out nailbiters vs Portuguese clubs in the Europa League!

Sarcasm aside I'm confident he'll come good but ya hopefully it's in the new year vs top sides in the Prem.

Heh.

(I've already made about 20 jokes about Fulham not beating the drop to myself already.)

Proposition: Southampton should actually be docked a point for this performance.

Oh, my. It's only halftime and that's the score?

EDIT: Better second half showing for Southampton. They only lost 4-0 in this half.

Keep on improving like that and in five more halves they'll earn a point.

EDIT: Alternatively, "Leicester take the points in nine-goal thriller"

Sending off notwithstanding, that's a video game scoreline that is.

Oh, I'll have to catch up on the series. I've only seen the Man City season. That was excellent.

The Netflix ‘Sunderland ‘til I die’ series is much better.

"Take Us Home: Leeds United" was pretty tasty too. I started the Borussia Dortmund one on the bus ride home recently, and it's no slouch either.

Basically, AFAIC, you're spoiled for choices.

Godawful game to watch by Fulham, but the point is good.

I've seen the Sunderland one too, but I liked the Man City one better. I'll have to check out the others, though. Good times.

Pulisic showed up today. He scored one third of a Leicester.

Meanwhile, in Spain...

The postponed Clasico means the big two have a game in hand, but still... Granada were in Division 2 last year.

Sid Lowe mentioned that on Twitter. Genuinely amazing, and here's hoping they managed to make something great out of this season.

Meanwhile: Oh, Arsenal.

Strong comeback by Liverpool. It's a long season, but they will take some beating.

If you haven't seen Guendouzi's tackle on Zaha avail yourself of it immediately.

Take a yellow to stop a break away. Looks about right.

Arsenal probably didn't deserve to win but the VAR to take away the go ahead goal was questionable. It was such a cluster f*ck I'm not sure who fouled who. Probably the exact situation where you don't change anything.

Well, I mean otherwise he definitely would've scored a try.
