Listen, I realize internet discussions can get a bit spicy and all, but there is no reason to stoop so low as for anyone ever to reference the Fear Itself crossover ever again. TOO MUCH, MAN.

Man, that crossover sucked.

It also wasn't a good virtual pinball table.

Not the scene I was hoping for.
But anyway, looks like all my thumbs-upping of "I don't wanna go" memes finally paid off.

Not all heroes wear capes.

A little different price of media, but it includes several of the MCU actors pending their voices.

Damn that looks great. I may have to huff it into New York for a date night.

Hope that makes its way to PC based VR at some point..

The void are room based. Need walls and such. At least the last one I did woulnd't have worked as well without free roaming.

Team of 4 working together, hlaf shoot em up half escape room. Kinda of like a coop FPS I guess.

I have an image in my head of the camera person having a kind of sit down job...not anymore I guess

Sometimes they're not even people:

I wonder if that is ScarJo or her super badass stunt double?

Unless you are going for sarcasm, I'm gonna say the fact that you can't see her face and the overall execution of the moves indicates that it is her stunt double.

This may not be the right thread for this question: will Disney+ have ALL MCU movies at launch?

Or is Disney+ like Netflix and things rotate in/out?

I'm all in if the stuff stays and I can watch anytime I want, on demand. Not interested in wanting to fire something up for the kids and it's not available.

Disney Plus will definitely be the home to all Marvel movies — eventually

If you wondered if every Marvel product will find its exclusive home on Disney Plus, the answer is a definitive yes. What you shouldn’t expect are upcoming Marvel films to start streaming right away on the platform. Also, don’t expect all of the prior MCU films on day one either.

Only four MCU movies will debut on the service the first day. These will be Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Iron Man 3, and Thor: The Dark World. You’ll be able to stream Avengers: Endgame in December. You’ll have to wait a year to see eight more MCU titles, which might not sound appealing immediately.

Disney Plus’ additional strategy is to let all future Marvel movies play in theaters and then cash in on the Blu-Ray/4K DVD sales. This is going to mean waiting close to a year after a Marvel movie releases to see it in Disney’s streaming format.

They’re going to have the Shaggy DA, but not most of the MCU movies? Whack.

It's weird that most of the Marvel movies are not there on Day 1. I would expect the last 4 or 5 to still be coming soon but the fact that you don't have the first 3 Avenger movies as part of the streaming service is weird.

Yeah, I assumed it literally meant all or most of the Disney movies. Artificial scarcity is a weird “feature”.

There are probably lots of pre-existing deals with other streaming services that likely need to expire first.

Odds are the recent/Avengers ones had some sort of exclusivity deal with Netflix that expires later than Disney would like, and that isn't worth the cost of a buyout

Yeah, give it time guys. Disney's monopoly will start coming into effect within a couple years, don't worry.

8yo me was down for Shaggy Dog all day! Ya Dean Jones!

They tweeted 300+ movies and shows that will be day 1 today. Do we not have a Disney+ thread? Search couldn't find it for me.

The 92 X-Men and 94 Spider-Man Fox series are both going to be on it. I've wanted to rewatch those for a long time. Years ago I looked and could only find terrible VHS rips on YouTube. I'll definitely do a month just to watch those.

X-Men was on Netflix maybe 8-9 years ago? Watched it when the kids were younger, was one of the starter drugs to dragging them into geekdom. Had its moments, but it's so, so 90s.

Best movie of 2022.

No more weird than that they didn't have the right to make Xmen or Spiderman movies for years. Selling long term rights, then changing your business model during that period means you might be screwed for awhile for things that seemingly you SHOULD own, but sold.

Definitely frustrating as a consumer, though.

The most amusing example of this for me is that Iron Man 1 and 3 will be available on Disney+ day 1, but Iron Man 2 will not.

You guys, Ant Man 3 is happening, and it makes me so happy.
