Star Trek: Picard Catch-All [Spoilers]

She’s Picard’s “daughter” from his time with the borg.

off topic, but is that Admiral Janeway with stark white hair?

Probably. Did you not see the Voyager finale?

I did, but it's been 5 or 10 years since i've done a proper re-watch.

I don't think so. It didn't look like her and there would've probably been an announcement for Comic-Con.

I read one of those frame by frame analyses of the trailer and they didn't point out that the admiral was Janeway. I assume it'll be someone we don't know.

It wasn't Kate Mulgrew, who is still acting. She's said she hasn't been contacted to appear in Picard.

Some idiots probably blame her for Nemesis since she was in it for 30 seconds.

That doesn't tell us anything. Even if she had been contacted, she'd probably lie to keep the surprise. With Seven of Nine a part of the show, I'm sure we'll see Janeway at some point.

I doubt we'll see her. She is not integral to Picard's past beyond a cameo in the last movie. Seven on the other hand has a history with the borg, just like Picard.

But will the companion media actually add anything to the story?

Star Trek is rife with prequel novels and many sequel novels as well. This should come as no surprise.

Below is my impression of the reaction to this, *cough*

How dare they put essential parts of the story in other media!? And force them to spend money on **books** for the complete experience?!?!?!?!

/flips table, doxxes Patrick Stewart and French Steward

Well that was....awesome?

Love it. Damn it, I don't want to subscribe to another streaming service.

So wait until all the episodes are released, do a free trial, or sub for a month then cancel when you're done.

Old Data feels weird.

Yup. I got Discovery on DVD from the library after the first season was out.

This will be on DVD someday

Or if you have a VPN that can connect to Europe, watch it on Netflix. That's how I watch Discovery.

Seems Netflix is a lot more worried about people using VPN to be in the US and blocks those but not so much the other way.

Picard will not be on Netflix in Europe. It's on Amazon Prime. But VPN would probably still work.

The problem i have found is that netflix and HULU are both really good at identifying VPN ip numbers and blocking them.

You just get one that is known to work with them. Of coarse they could always block it in the future.

I disliked the idea of CBS access also but I've kept paying for it since Disco came out because it looks like my money is being used to bring out all this Star Trek content. So I want to KEEP supporting it.

Like I mentioned, it works for Discovery. Netflix seems much more concerned with people trying to get US content than Americans trying to get European content, at least for now. Will find out in January.

Keezel might help.

well yes, that's what I did, and what they did.
