I'm not crying at all. Nope. Nosirree.

It's so dusty in here suddenly. whats up with that?

seriously that is truely beautiful

This handsome boi is our 4th rescue cat. He is a total sweetheart and already getting along well with our other cat. His original hame was Hey Heyyyyy! But we have shortened it to Hei-Hei after the rooster in Moana.

He loves sleeping at the foot of this bed, and being near Sadie in the roost at night.

Well, 64% of your cats. Over 1/3 of them couldn't care less.

I’ve been seeing this all over the place this week. Was it really in question?

By people who’ve never owned cats, yes.

I could tell something... by the scratching and wailing outside any door that I happened to be on the other side of.

Or the one that would jump on you and proceed to head-butt you for the next 5 minutes. I used to describe him as “aggressively affectionate.”

Sadly, the effects of chronic renal failure finally caught up with my sweet Kiba. My little Mouse. My Cottonball.
Rest easy, tiny one. Friday was his last day with us.

You kicked ass. Made it to a few days past your 14th birthday, recovered from 3.7lbs to back up to 7lbs, and were a trooper and the sweetest boy until the very end. I miss you terribly.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That is one sweet-looking boy.

=(

I’m so sorry, r013nt0. He looks like he was a sweet boy. I remember you talking about him earlier in the summer.

Yesterday I caught our boy entertaining himself. He does this all the time, but I finally caught it on video.

Thanks, everyone. He was the sweetest and most patient cat I've ever known, and I've known my fair share.

What a funny boy!

Deepest condolences. He looks like a sweet boy, thank you for sharing him with us.

Our lonely, catless home has been re-catted. I am pleased to introduce you all to:

Awwwwww

THEY'RE SO FLUFFY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesssssssss!

I still miss my boys every single day, but these ladies are helping to take the edge off.

In fact, I wish I was at home with them right now instead of at work!

Oh my. They’re so cute.

In related news my wife and I take charge of foster kittens today. We just fostered a cat as she transitioned from getting found and fixed to the shelter. She was really shy, but I’m hoping she gets adopted soon.

In the meantime we’re on to 3 kittens today.

With how tired I am from two, I can only imagine how you feel!

Good for you guys, I would have the hardest time fostering. Or, well, the letting go part.

Well, our role as fosters is fostering kittens once they're box trained and weaned. So what we'll be doing is feeding them, doing their litter and ten socializing them for an hour in the morning and the evening, roughly.

Taking them to the vet as needed, etc. So I think we'll be fine. They'll be separated from our resident cats because they're still in the middle of getting fixed, getting shots, etc.

So I don't anticipate it being too exhausting. We're just giving them a better home than the shelter and some human interaction before they start looking at getting adopted.

Those fluff monsters are not fooling me. They are viciously mauling those poor feathers.

My cat Dexter recently discovered the heated cat beds at my GF's condo.

Heated cat bed? TELL ME MORE.

That is one content cat...

We had a bed that looked just like that and our cat LOVED it. If she wasn't in our lap she was in that bed.

Veloxi, they have them at pet stores, usually like $30-50. They have a pressure pad so when the cat gets in it they turn on, you don't have to do anything. They plug into the wall. All cats like them but they are especially great for older cats that are starting to get a bit creaky.

We bought two tents with heated pads for outdoor cats we started feeding.

Of course, we’re now letting a few of the cats inside. They’re colonizing us.
(We thought we were feeding one, maybe two cats. One of them had kittens she hadn’t showed us. Got all but one caught and fixed. She had a litter. Still need to catch her, and now we are feeding 7 cats. Four of them seem to be adopting us.)

We have heating pads they love, but this looks even better!

I wonder if they make those for dogs.. mine is getting pretty old (10 in April) and her joints bother her sometimes.

Speaking of which took this photo during family photos. She only would put her bum down for 2 seconds at a time since the snow was so cold.
