I really hope not. Not being able to see into darker areas and into buildings from the outside (and out of buildings into bright light, for that matter) is far more realistic and interesting. There's plenty of ways to counter the lack of information.
Built in glitch boxes is not OK. I know it's not realistic, but it needs to be tweaked for the sake of gameplay.
Ground War definitely has it's issues but this is an amazing first start. Also if you remember you had 1000s of BF servers running nothing but Metro style maps 24/7. There's a definite BF audience for this kind of play style. Plus i think we'll see 6 maps for it at launch? Need to check on that again...
Absolutely there will be. I think I just need to stop comparing this mode it to the larger more open BF maps as there are a lot of smaller condensed maps ie Metro that will be in this one.
I only came in for the last couple days of the beta. I enjoyed it on the whole. I have never played a multiplayer CoD game in my life so I have no frame of reference for comparison and I don't know what I am "supposed" to think about it.
I seriously dislike the cave map. The others are OK.
As expected weapon balance needs some adjusting. Very little but M4A1 scrolling by on the kill feed. Every other weapon I tried seemed like it would at least have a niche though, except for the M14 EBR, which is just unspeakably bad.
My impression of CoD gameplay (again, not having actually experienced it firsthand) was that perks made a much bigger impact than they seem to in this game, the only one I used that I felt made a significant difference in my playstyle was Shrapnel.
I've seen several people argue killstreaks should be removed in Ground War and I can't disagree strongly enough. Thematically they make more sense in GW, they're also much less dominating on the bigger map, and people are more likely to be carrying anti-vehicle secondary weapons in GW.

Built in glitch boxes?

Oh definitely not removed, considering that they are the mechanism for including aircraft. Toned down, absolutely, especially the detection ones. Ghost shouldn't be mandatory because there's 12 UAVs overhead at any given point in time.
As it stands now those rooms are no different than someone glitching into a rock or building corner and getting free kills that way.
You were unable to shoot into dark spaces where you couldn't see? Did that also apply to trees and brush? I'm very confused.
I did experience someone glitching under the map and killing people who were unable to respond, but there weren't any glitches associated with the lighting that I could detect.
I am less bothered by the exclusivity than I am by the reminder this game basically comes with an expiration date.
Reddit is having one of its witch burning moments with this game. Granted the sentiment they have is coming from a good place, exclusitivity bad. But calling for a boycott of the game? cmon guys and gals.
So exclusive feature on PS4 for one year? Isn't there a new COD game next year that people will move on to?

Yes.
In essence this means that horde mode is not coming to platforms besides PS4.

Amusingly, nVidia's twitter account is posting a whole different set of system specs, with a 1660 or 2060 as the "recommended" card and then two whole tiers above that called "high/competitive" and "ultra." They claim for "ultra" you need a 2080 Super. Of course they do not actually define the settings or target resolution/fps for any of this.
On the 175gb thing, I think they've said they recommend this space so there's room for "post-launch content", and the actual initial download will be smaller.
In any case, even if the launch size is half this it's a lot. I just downloaded Destiny 2, which I believe took up about 88gb. The size of modern games gets me thinking I'm going to order a new SSD right now!

even rrd2 is 150gb, I believe. Games be getting biiig
Looking at those specs makes me ask: Is this on Stadia?
I haven't played a COD game since Black Ops. I used to play MW religiously in college but fell off hard when I graduated. It feels nice to be excited about a COD game again, even if it is just for the campaign.
