NFL 2019: Week 2

Beautiful back shoulder throw on 3rd and 10 for Lamar, wow.

If only someone could have predicted that he would be good and should have been drafted by a QB needy team with, say, the 29th overall pick instead of Taven do-nothing Bryan.

Pats only beat the Dolphins by 43. Waiting to hear the talking heads sing Brady's praises after cautioning whether Lamar was any good last week because the Dolphins are so bad.

THE BILLS ARE 2-0

Kings of New York!

I'm already hoping the Giants can pick up Chase Young!

Brian Flores, man. Dude probably just got his dream job opportunity, except it's this.

Joe Staley, broken fibula, out for 8 weeks

That's going to be rough for a team that already lost their top backup tackle in camp.

Does the team inquire about trading for Trent Williams? With the Niners starting the season 2-0, both on the road, they have to be looking at this season as a potential playoff season, which Shanahan and Lynch both really need it to be.

Was driving today so didn't want anything, but I'm deeply impressed by Miami's stat line. I'm curious to see which of these lines "wins" Quick Reads at FO this week:

Ryan Fitzpatrick 11/21 89 yards 0 TD 3 INT
Josh Rosen 7/18 97 yards 0 TD 1 INT

I mean, Rosen's got those huge extra eight yards, a slight and DYAR is a counting stat, plus only one pick. Fitz has a lower YPA, but actually hit half his passes.

Fitzpatrick did throw two touchdown passes.

Ugh, big hit with Staley out. Great OL.

I have to watch the condensed replay of the Dolphins game when it goes online. I've watched a lot of miserable football from Florida based NFL teams, but this feels special.

Redzone just said that this is the first 2 - 0 start with the first two games on the road for the Niners since 1989. Yet another reminder I should probably be out of the Bay Area on October 17th.

That would be a genuinely impressive accomplishment for a team that lost 43-0.

Edit: OH WAIT PICK SIXES NEVER MIND

First two games of the season the Dolphins have been outscored 102-10. AT HOME.

So they beat the spread, then?

Holy crap, Chicago.

That Bears/Broncos ending though. Bears needed every second of the 31 they had for the drive.

Chiefs!

Brees hurt. Teddy looked rough. Wonder how bad it is.

Brees busted his thumb, so that might be BAD.

Missed the SNF intro last week, but thank god they went back to the previous song.

Bills' Allen after beating Jets, Giants: 1 NY team

As a Giants fan, LOL. Not because he's wrong (obviously, he's technically right), but because the Bills are probably the best NY-affiliated team this year. So wear that crown with pride, because dear LORD the Giants look awful.

He is right! The Jets squandered a 16 point lead last week and the Giants defense was porous, yet again.

Being proud of being the best NFL team in New York is only slightly less embarrassing than being proud of being the best NFL team in Florida.

Technically, the Bills are the only team in the state of New York.

That blown call against the Saints further reinforced why I only watch the highlights from the games and not the games themselves anymore. The thing players and fans should have to worry about least is the officiating, but at this point it just seems like every game hinges on the abysmal officiating of the NFL.

Why are they so skittish about playing Saquon? You have possibly the best RB in the league and you refuse to play the guy.,

Wentz has to be really badly hurt.

Because they're afraid to kill him in a dead year.

Oooooooor the Giants have no f*cking clue what they're doing.
