What are you playing this weekend?

Contol. 100%. I plan to shotgun the game and finish it by the time Monday morning rolls around. I got a small taste a few minutes ago. Now I have to work a 12 hour shift. I’m going to be jonesing the whole time.

Since I'm working, I just had time to play a quick game. The Yawhg.

And I finished it. Well that was fast.

Good but over too soon. Like 2 hours max.

No MHW: Iceborne this weekend, sadly, since I have a lot of stuff to do. So, it'll be lightweight stuff on the mobile and some Persona 4 Golden on the Vita.

So. Much. Path of Exile.

This, when I squeeze in a bit of gaming - busy weekend. Like RawkGWJ, I've also had a small taste and now Control is my brain bath.

Been intrigued by the Farming Simulator series for a while. The '19 edition just got chucked up on PS Now so am figuring worth a try.

Half my fam are farmers and I spent a lot of time on em growing up... From trailers, these games always look a lot cleaner than I remember

Borderlands. Still trying to decide if I like it or not. Just finished with the starting area and opened up the next hub. Usually I like some story progression in games, haven’t seen much of that so far. But the gameplay keeps bringing me back.

Creature in the Well because I've been waiting and it finally arrived on Game Pass and Rocket League because my hands still work and I won't stop playing that game until I'm physically incapable

I got that game on sale. It looked like Persona. How do you like it? I've yet to install it but want to.

Ys VIII - Switch

Closing in on the end, looking like it'll take me around 50 hours. I'm playing on hard, and doing pretty much every side-quest and optional reputation activities. Personally, I think it's the best RPG on the Switch, and one of the best action RPGs I've ever played. I'll be sad when it's over.

The story starts off pretty basic, and it's tropey in a really comforting way, it also twists and turns constantly in a satisfying way. Y'all gotta play this!

I just wanted to echo that this was a startlingly good game. I played it on a lark, expecting nothing, and ended up sucked in totally. I think I listed it pretty high on my Top 10 last year. I guess the PC version originally had major problems, but it was fine for me. It might have crashed, like, once or maybe twice in two full play-throughs.

One warning: there's a bunch of BS DLC for it. Just ignore it all, every bit of it is exploitative. And expensive.

Besides a ton of Freespace 2 mods for SGJ, all I had time for, or wanted to play, was PvZ: Battle for Neighborville. It's disgustingly good.

I resumed my playthrough of Ys: Oath in Felghana this weekend after a couple of months break. I've been plugging away at it for 16 months now. Nightmare mode is hard, guys!

Oh! I forgot about that one. I bought it too. I got caught up in Control, but it’s kind of pissing me off. I’ve spent the last hour and a half dancing around an objective on the map. The map doesn’t separate vertical floors. Or maybe it does and I just haven’t figured it out. Anyway, I can stand right on top of the objective in the map but I don’t see it in the environment. I go upstairs, downstairs, upside-down stairs but I can’t find the damn thing. Now I’m thinking about checking a guide, but I hate that. If I have to check a guide, the game has failed me. I haven’t failed the game.

a smartphone game!!! busy with the kid and wife this weekend.

But if your on Andoid ,unsure of its status on IOS, are into rouguelike and deck builder may i suggest Dungeon Faster

free to play , with donations to dev and no ads!, choose a class and enter the dungeon. use cards to defeat enemies. Find the key in the room and find the gate to move forward. rinse repeat. To use the cards you must have coin and card suits of color to play the cards for a variety of effects.

Challenging but very fun

Been playing AOE Definitive Edition now that its on Game Pass, it holds up and is still a good strategy game, especially early in campaigns when they limit your population

Hopefully a metric ton of BL3

Ys 8 (Lacrimosa of Dana) is on sale at GOG right now for $39, down from the standard $60. It's fairly expensive, but it's quite good. Just, again, avoid the DLC. It's expensive and pretty much worthless. You probably won't even use any of it.

The base game, however, is fantastic. It's a neat story, and a fun combat system. I wasn't expecting much, and had a great time. It was my favorite RPG since Dragon's Dogma.... it doesn't have the legs that DD does, and the combat engine isn't even in the same league, but it's far better as an actual RPG.

I decided to give Stick of Truth a try with UPlay+ and I'm liking it more than I thought I would. I don't watch South Park, other than seeing bits of an episode a couple times - so I'm not really a fan. That said, I have found the game surprisingly funny. They do a great job capturing the spirit of kids playing a game. The combat is fun, but really too easy to have a strong interest in it.

I've probably put 5 or so hours into it and my interest is waning. I only have until the end of September before the uplay+ trial is over, so I may not finish since I don't feel like just trying to power through. I play play a little here and there though. I do like it more than I thought I would.

I bite the bullet, pun intended, and jumping in as well. Can't wait to play the Siren again.

F1 2019 because it will take me another entire week to git gud at Singapore.

Control because I'm not done yet.

MHW: Iceborn because I'm an idiot with money and purchased it despite burning out extremely hard on MHW and never liking it as much as classic MonHun.

My weekend looks like a good bit of MHW: Iceborne (lots of grind left there; gotta get better gear!), some Hollow Knight, some Axiom Verge, and some Persona 4 Golden on the Vita.

2 questions: 1. How is the Vita holding up? B. Is it all pirate-warez these days or is everything still legit. 2. This thread is about the weekend but folks post on all days of the week. While I understand that, “It’s happy hour somewhere.” or, “Its 5:00 somewhere.” Can it always be said that, “It’s the weekend somewhere.”?

1. Vita is dead. 2. All about them custom firmware homebrewz piratez; saddens me personally.

We can always look forward to what we are planning to play on the weekend.

Furthermore, if "weekend" is understood to be "days off" rather than a calendar weekend, then some of us have weekends during the normal work week.

1. It is technically dead, but very much alive for me and a few diehards who still enjoy it very much. B. I haven't messed with any homebrew/jailbreaking; I've been tempted, but have enough to play to the point that I don't really need to start tinkering with it. Additionally, Sony is still releasing firmware updates solely to curtail the advent of piracy and tampering on the device, so it seems to be a risky move at this point in time. I may change my mind about it in a year or so, when Sony finally stop spending resources on fighting the losing battle against jailbreakers.

2. It's always a "weekend" somewhere, when one thinks of the weekdays as strictly work days. I think it would be more accurate to say: "it's always the weekend for someone, somewhere".

Weekends only exist for those with M-F jobs, so the rest of us have to make up our own "weekends" on other days, as in the ends of *our* week, if we even have a measurable end of a week.

With that said, I have been and will be continuing to play Stardew Valley on the Switch, and hope to do a bit more in my Sims 3 game on PC.

Pre-loaded Borderlands 3 today and plan to have a long play session with my old Borderlands crew Saturday night. Not keeping my hopes up for it to be anything more than more Borderlands, but that should be fun enough given how much we have enjoyed 1 and 2 (let's best pretend the other one doesn't exist).

I am looking forward to how much Tale from the Borderlands they cross over, I loved that game and think it's arguably the best of the series storytelling-wise.

I've been waiting for this game to hit backwards compatibility on Xbox One for ages. Apparently it was certified sometime back in July, completely passing my notice. By far one of my favorite games of all time, and the Xbox One X changes are really stunning. I'm not entirely sure if this supports HDR, but with a bit of Brightness/Contrast adjustment this game has never popped more. The graphics don't hold up too well in the polygon count department, but the game still has style, humor, action, and that kick ass spy soundtrack a la Amon Tobin.

This is peak Ubisoft, right among Far Cry 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Indulge if you have the opportunity.

I will be finally playing Resident Evil 2.
