Warframe

I think I've gotten to the point where I just know all the potential locations for caches for certain tilesets. That plus Animal Instinct and I can just fly through looking at the icons on the minimap. The Limbo thing slows me down because the drops pop out in non standard places.

I have animal instinct on my kubrow but I think it's the small map in Switch handheld mode or something. I just never can see the stuff. Maybe I need to review what I should be looking for exactly or try a different map view of there is one.

I really need to sit down and watch a Limbo "How To" video. I stopped trying to play him when I realized my loot was following me around the map, my bullets weren't doing any damage, and my teammates were getting pissed because theirs weren't either.

My memory is garbage, so I never remember the cache potential locations.

Just finished getting all the parts for Rhino and Nyx Prime - both in the foundry now

Had to run a bunch more Profit-Taker - needed (and got) 5 Crisma Toroids to get the last level with Little Duck. Looks like I need 2 more for the Larkspur. Ran Profit-Taker only once before the last NW challenge, once for the challenge (died constantly, but still counted as complete). I think I had success just queueing up for the fight with pugs, because of the active NW challenge; not sure how busy PT part 4 is, normally. I resorted to using Octavia, and ignoring PT itself - kept my 3 up (invisibility), 4 for the damage buff (for team), and drop the 1 on enemy groups (to have the enemies kill themselves). Basically, the “keep the spawns manageable” guy - it was surprisingly effective.

Grats! I only have one part of each so far. Feels like I usually get relics by opening other relics but the last few Neo ones I have opened I got Lith in the rewards. Not helping.

Maybe I need to focus on certain missions?

I find a decent source of relics is the syndicate rewards. Usually I have a lot of cred stored up with them from the syndicate tattoos, then when a new prime thing or unvaulting pops up I just waste it all on rando relics and tend to get quite a few for the fresh stuff. The list of unvaulted relics isn't that large.

Oh that's a nice idea. Forgot those relic packs were in there. I was just grinding syndicate rep for mods.

Limbo is all about putting things “out of phase” and doing mean things to enemies while they’re rifted. Casting your 1 will push the target (enemy or ally) into the phase opposite to whichever one you are - you in normal, target in normal = target rifted, you rifted, target normal = nothing. Getting yourself back into phase is simple - roll/dodge. I wouldn’t recommend pushing enemies into the rift with this... it makes them immune to everyone/everything that isn’t in phase with them (until the timer runs out).

If you’re out of phase, you can’t interact with anything in “normal” phase - no hacking, no containers, no pickups, no damage...

I build Limbo for range and duration - it’s all about the 4 and the 2. Cataclysm (4) for a huge bubble that puts everyone out of phase, regenerates energy, and makes you immune to anything outside the bubble. Stasis (2) freezes any rift-bound enemy (any of them inside the bubble, or later touch the edge of the bubble) leaves them easy-pickings for head-shots. Your 2 lasts half as long as the 4 - the bubble constantly shrinks (affected by Duration, and has an augment that adds 1s per enemy killed, iirc).

I don’t even remember what the 3 is.....

Warfrme Reliquary is an amazing resource for finding where the drops for specific relics are “right now” - shows you the drop-chance too. Cetus or Fortuna bounties seem to be the best spots for (at least the items I’ve checked off in the “Wishlist”). (I’m sure a Google/DuckDuckGo will find it)

Check off the items you’re after in the wishlist, go to the reliquary tab, and it shows all the locations and what the dropchance is for each relic.

my favorite trick with limbo is going into a defense or rescue and either locking down the defense area or shifting the rescue target out of realspace so they can just saunter to the exit. with a duration build you can get a REALLY long effect. add in the inrift energy regen and, while you likely won't be doing the killing in your group, you can pretty much make it impossible for your team mates or defense objective to be at risk.
biggest notes for learning limbo;
most objects cannot be interacted with if a warframe is in the rift so remember that when you need to use a terminal.
mesa can fire peacekeeper out of the rift from the inside. learn to love your mesa team mates. actually all exalted weapons share this trait so this applies less so to frames like wukong, titania, excalibur, etc.
if someone Female Doggoes that you accidentally sent them into the rift with your 1, make sure they know that they can just dodge to immediately leave the rift.

Hildryn also works well from within in the rift bubble.

But half the Limbos out there are accidental hindrances. Locking down objectives so the mission can't progress, leaving behind void farts you have to dive roll out of. Pulling the top of their heads off like it is a hat when it is clearly not a hat but part of the head.

The matchmaking options ought to be Solo, Invite, Friends, Global, No Limbos.

Ouch... I love all my frames (Vauban perks up).... except Vauban. (Vauban deflates)

I'll check it out. I am not a fan of the open world areas so far but apparently they're going to force me in there between nightwave and this.

Nice. I got the last pieces yesterday, after farming and opening about 10 radiant relics I got both pieces I needed from other people's relics in the same defence fissure mission. RNG for you, it wasn't even a radshare. I have a few frames unclaimed now but Rhino Prime seems the most generally useful and nightwave gave one slot

Nyx seems to have really nice cosmetic options but I'm not sure what missions I'd use her for.

I did bounties to get the relics I needed and fortuna standing and debt bonds at the same time - and finally reached Old Mate. Started the Profit Taker heists but while my Archgun is essentially a peashooter (and I don't want to waste a gravimag) it seems pointless. Is Exploiter better to start with?

Thanks for the Limbo advice guys. I will definitely see what I can do to put these to use. Bonus - I just picked up the Energy Siphon (regen) aura over the weekend.

I actually bought the last Nyx cosmetic bundle... because it was the only way to get that sexy shotgun skin. I haven’t used Nyx, herself, in quite a while. Making all the enemies just stand around is less effective CC than mass murder...

I found Exploiter Orb to be a MUCH easier fight.

Exploiter Orb is way more fun. Profit Taker Orb is a stupid slog I intend to avoid as much as possible. Hopefully the last orb fight is a DDR style dance off.

If so, you know octavia will be the go too

Is doing spy missions with random public groups bad? That sounds like it would be bad.

Also /ping doesn't show your ping, just "unrecognised command".

And I don't suppose there is an option to have the name combo you successfully did come up on screen? I haven't played fighting games and I'm having a hard time getting better at all the E E pauseE EE stuff.

Also, the heat sword doesn't seem to generate any heat damage by itself? I'm taking it to the ACCC for false advertising.

I think I set to be in the Oceanic reigon, so there aren't that many open groups on any one planet. I find it annoying that there's no way to filter out people/groups that are level a millionty and are just there to ski through the mission in 30s as opposed to people that are level appropriate. I wish high level people aren't able to join low level missions.

I dug through the appearance menu and I found the mastery rank thing you can put on your chest. I get that it's mostly going to be used by level a millionty people that are bragging, and I'm disappointed I didn't know about it when I just started, because I would have loved to put a big ironic "I'm level one, check it outttttt" on my front.

Spy mission difficulty varies by tileset. Lua and Neptune are kinda rough, and the revamped Jupiter tileset isn't bad but is kinda new. I expect flubs with pubs at those locations, but usually spy missions only require that you successfully get one out of three objectives unless it is part of a sortie.

For figuring them out I'd suggest just poking around solo as Loki. Except Lua, look that crap up online.

For public spy missions it can be helpful to bring Liset air support gear that pauses alarmy countdowns. Pop it when you see a remote objective's countdown.

Yeah I've yet to learn several of the spy methods. Tend to just avoid the missions as much as possible.

I did see a comment one time that operator mode dash avoids alarms. So really you could use any frame after a certain story mission. Haven't tested it though

I usually work out the side areas and then go in as Limbo. Easy peasy. I love using spy missions for leveling things.

Spy missions in random groups are weird. Sometimes everything is done before I even get there. Other times I have to sprint to some location to try to save one where someone set off the alarm and is lost.

If it is important that I get all three I usually go solo unless I am feeling lazy and am willing to gamble that the group will do it for me.

Yeah I hate switching back to solo mode when for most missions extra people help. Oh well.

I spent ages running spy missions to get Ivara, and now that I have her I only use her for Kubrodon captures. I find spoiler mode works well enough for most vaults.

And yeah, spy missions are the ones to do solo. I always feel rushed in public missions and that's when you're most likely to mess it up.

I tried using Octavia (for her invisibility) for the Nightwave perfect captures challenge... it did not go well. The bird is f*cking impossible - shot it multiple times, with zero effect. The armoured one escaped every time. The “higher level” animals wouldn’t go down with one shot, so they never turned out as “perfect”. I switched to Ivara, and found out that her sleep arrow had the exact same effect as the tranq-gun.

Still couldn’t get the bird... I’d sleep it, and it would disappear into the ground. f*ck that bird

I got that by using bait for rare versions of the animals. I ended up with 1 bird 3 wolves and 2 rodents. With the high rarity I just tried to get other subspecies but it still took too long and was not fun.

I also couldn't figure out how to capture a bird in under a dozen tranq darts. Maybe f*ck the bird, I'll get umpteen varieties of snow mouse or whatever.

Man this game is weird. No clue what you're talking about, it's like we're playing different games.
