So Star Trek: Firefly?

Firefly is Star Trek. Its just Star Trek told from all the planets, people and races not in the Federation.

Well, I can't even make it through that trailer without tearing up. Leave it to America's Dad to play America's Neighbor.

As someone who got to meet Fred Rogers, Hanks unsurprisingly nails it. That trailer totally made me tear up.

I'm in that train scene at the end of the preview (not visible in the trailer as Matthew Rhys and another BG person are in the way - that's my hair poking out behind his right shoulder at the two-minute marker.)

Movie looks great, and it was a super fun set! Tom Hanks had the whole crew in stitches non-stop between takes.

That sounds so great.

Well, that certainly seems like my kind of thing.

Same folks who did Mandy. I'm in

Okay, somehow I missed Mandy altogether, and now I must watch it. Hooray for Google play balance

NINETY ONE PERCENT on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kermode says: The question is, "How much more Nic Cage could it be?" And the answer is, "None more Nic Cage."

And after going on tangents about some Belgian film, and Lynch and Eraserhead, he concludes for the benefit of Simon Mayo and the rest of us plebs, "it's a gore movie but it's a bit kaleidoscopic."

There is a LOT going on in this trailer. Iko Uwais, Mark Dacascos, and Byron Mann, though. I'm there.

Well, I'm all for more Iko Uwais and Marc Dacascos. I'll check it out.

Well.

Yes please

Oh yeah. Nice additions to the cast, too.

Oh my gosh this makes me so very happy.

My beloved local cinema pub recently had a double feature of Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead. I ran into an old friend there, and it came up that I'd never seen Zombieland. She was aghast. "It's the greatest zombie movie of all time!" she said. I responded that couldn't be true, that was the movie showing after Zombieland. We went back and forth for a bit, but then the show started, and she was very excited to be present for my first Zombieland experience. We laughed, got beers, it was a grand time, and when it was over she, expectantly asked "Sooooo, pretty great, right?"

"It was!" I said. "So great, it might just be the second greatest zombie movie of all time."

Trailer looks about like one should expect from Zombieland 2.

I can't watch Zombieland because of the Bill Murray part.

Zombie land was fun but it’s not a patch on Shaun of the Dead.

Am I the only one thinking Season 2 looks like a partial remake of Clear And Present Danger?

Maybe? It does have the crossfire scene from the start of the book, but no hint or sign of a Chavez or group he would belong too.

The Lighthouse

If that doesn't end with a placard saying "Fin", I'll be disappointed.
