The Last of Us Part 2 - Catch All

Wow. Incredible.

I could do without the extreme violence as well to be honest but am probably going to play it regardless.

That is some seriously good costumes & face masks/makeup. If I came across you all under a bridge I think I'd be out of there like Usain Bolt!

I can smell an E3 week State of Play release date announcement for TLOU Part 2!

That'd be fantastic. A look at multiplayer would be awesome as well.

I'm so eager to see how they evolve the brilliant multiplayer of the original. Hopefully listening mode is kept in, such a great feature that fits perfectly with the slower, stealthier pace.

Thank you! A lot of the fun of running around in those costumes was making the clicking/scraping noises and just generally freaking people out.

I'm wondering wether there's going to be any story repucussions after the ending of the first game where

Spoiler:

that asshole Joel doomed humanity and all it's children by stopping a cure being made.

That's one interpretation (one that many share with you) another is that:

Spoiler:

Ellie was being sacrificed without consent in the name of a cure that was by no means certain and Joel stopped that.

That was my interpretation at the time and it still is. There could still be repercussions though. It'll be interesting to see.

I always saw these as equally true and in no way in contradiction of each other.

Joel did what he did because how broken he is; it was always a personal reason. The morality of it never passed through his mind while he executed everyone between him and Ellie.

But also, Ellie was going to be sacrificed because the need of the many tend to outweigh the need of the few.

The Last of Us 2 more than likely coming out February 2020

I rushed to post this news so didn’t realise it wasn’t an official date. Still it’s looking more and more definite

Going up against Ori and the Will of the Wisps? Brave choice!
Kidding, both will probably be day 1 for me.

Same. My productivity will go way down in Feb.

February and productivity are both overrated

I might be done with The Division 2 by then... maybe.

Double fungus... I mean post.

A very interesting fungus from yesterdays walk. Apparently it's a hoof fungus.

That's crazy looking!

It is. I saw one and thought that maybe it was a wasps nest but, when I poked it, it was solid as a rock and, more importantly, no wasps flew out (Poking: always the best way to fid out if something is a wasps nest or not.)

Fairly bog standard fungi. But what they lacked in exoticism they made up for in proliferation.

Another little mushroom hiding away in the grass.

THAT one wants to kill humanity for sure.

It’s waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

This one seems to have had an experimental bite taken out of it. I like to imagine a mouse rolling up, taking a bite and thinking, "Ok, that tastes disgusting. I'm not eating that." before hurrying away. Also that's a five pence piece. Five pence pieces are really small.

Ok I've double checked that this article doesn't start with 'Rumour.' Sounds like the reveal for TLOU2 at the end of the month is going to be big.

Multiplayer beta would be amazing, I hope they don't show too much more of the campaign, that E3 2018 gameplay demo was more than enough.

Yeah. Multiplayer is what I want to see at this stage.

I'm excited to finally get a release date, but it sounds like I'm going to have to dodge spoilers for the next few weeks. I want to go into the campaign as blindly as possible.

State of Play on Tuesday next week. 9pm UK time.

Squeeeeeeeeeee!

I'm really rather excited.

Edit: Damnit! No multiplayer and lots of story which I kinda didn't want to see but watched anyway.

Still. We have a release date 21.2.19

I'm very excited about this game. Loved, loved, loved the first one.

Incredible, I didn't wanna see anymore on TLOU part 2 but I just had to watch the trailer.

Right definitely no more campaign/story stuff until I play it next February, I've spoiled enough for myself.

Yeah, not watching that...until I cave and do.

I'm also out on further trailers and information, as I'm very nervous. I consider the first one a straight up masterpiece, and I think it's only natural to be wary of sequels to something you love so much, even if there's no indication I should worry. It was the same with Blade Runner.
