The Division 2 - Catch All

The requirements are listed in this article for those without a pass. Based on what I am seeing on reddit some of these are far easier to complete with a friend who has the year one pass. The new pulse can confuse large groups of enemies making the assignment easier.

I really should fire this up again

Apparently the next specialist after the Gunner is going to be Torch special weapon: a box of torches. Special ability: he can give everyone a torch.

FLASHLIGHTS ARE OP.

I demand pitchforks!!

True pitchforks should be at the end of one of the upgrade trees.

That can only be unlocked when you defeat the money laundering overlord - Randy Pitchfork

It's all coming together! Someone get Ubisoft on the phone.

Holy cow, looks like a lot of grind. I don't think I am even going to attempt to unlock it.

It really isn't...

Loving this game. It’s so good co-op and I think this is the first time I’ve really enjoyed a cover system rather than feeling a) it wasn’t particularly necessary b) was too much of a faff. The smoothness and flexibility of it is brilliant.

Its a rock solid shooter, its been enjoyable with Higgledy, my dad & my brother playing through main missions. More often than not we just go for a wander around the map to stop public executions, run into supply drops, open up a new safe house, take over control points & look for every suitcase, weapons case, backpack or any type of container we can find.

I've decommissioned more weapons than the good Friday peace process with the amount of weapons I've deconstructed

The loading times are slooooow, especially first booting the game up.

You can see the quality of life improvements from the first game but it does feel almost identical to the original, I'm only level 14 so there's time for fresh things to come.

Just about the only thing that is annoying at the moment is that, when loading in on PS4, the progress bar always stops at 10%, hangs there for a seeming eternity and then flashes 100% before dropping me into the game. It'd be soooo much better to have the progress bar moving forward all the time even if it then stopped at 75% to wait for the load to go through. Give me the illusion of progress damnit!!

I read or heard somewhere that most progress bars in games are illusory. Because they can’t actually tell (or it takes more resources than worth it) how much a game has loaded. They just average the load time and slap a fancy screen over it to satisfy our animal brains.

Which is why I loved the no-load conceit of God of War. While it became kind of cheesy once you noticed it, I at least always enjoyed not sitting for a loading screen

Progress time is almost entirely impossible, but for things like a known amount of assets to load, it can work. That still won't fix jumping from 10 to 90% after 5 minutes of waiting.

I’m happy for it to be an illusion. It’s kind the worst of both worlds to have a loading screen with a bar and then to have that bar sit there at 10%.

I actually quite liked covering loading in game. I was even fine with Mass Effects elevator. For me that’s much better than a static loading screen.

Glad I wasn't drinking when I read this. Liquid would have been everywhere.

I was thinking about something similar to this last night. Pretty much every game starts with a bunch of titles and company credits, and then starts its loading sequence. What is stopping them from doing the loading in the background while showing titles and required licensing credits? Even if they are contractually required to put that stuff up for 30 seconds or whatever, they could still be loading in the background and keep a timer going during cacheing or connecting or whatever startup stuff they're doing to ensure the required screen time is given.

Some games do this. On some PC games you can disable the startup movies and it still takes a while to load in, which would normally be covered by the startup screens. Seems like not all of them do, though.

I’ve thought that before as well.

Edit: I earlier times I suspect they didn't do it because the logo presentation wouldn't look smooth due to background loading but surely they could iron out those wrinkles now.

Episode 1 is a couple weeks out!

These are basically the highlights from the latest 'State of Play'. I love what they're doing with skills.

Really, really love.

Very interesting. Thanks.

Flashlight mod for the pistol eh? That'll be a priority to aquire.

What they're doing with Skills does sound perfect.

Edit: Back pack vanity items and where to find them.

Yeah I think Im going to start fresh this weekend, been awhile since I've played.

The sawn off, double barrelled shotgun in the pistol slot if very good for instantly stopping enemies who’ve gotten too close.

I kept thinking about doing that but I like my pistols too much.

I must train myself to use pistols. In every game we’re there is a side arm I rarely if ever use it, preferring to frantically reload or die trying. I only used the sawn of shotgun because I wanted to see how well it worked.

I'm guilty of this! Busted.

I do change to my pistol all the time in Uncharted 4 MP too, so not sure why I don't in The Division 2.

Got my new operative to level 11. Enjoying it all over again.

I use mine all the time & will usually put any special ammo in them. They are surprisingly dealy when you add a stability/accuracy/weapon handling talent & mods.

I finally got to the LVL 30 end of the story & went straight to a 250 GS. TBH, I almost felt a bit OP when doing the Capitol Mission.

I primarily use mine for the holstered talent, but with the explicit damage mods/gear stacked up on them they can be a force although not as good as the primaries.
