Oh, Arsenal.

Looked like a preseason friendly they were on tour for.

What a joke.

Excellent match! Tons of scoring, wonderful result.

Coincidentally (well, obviously relatedly) Tottenham will have their third consecutive UCL season next year and Arsenal their third consecutive Europa League campaign. Long may this continue!

Hear, hear.

Sergio Ramos wants Real Madrid to let him go on a free, despite the fact that he's signed through 2021, as he wants to go play in the Chinese Super League and the team cannot afford a transfer fee (although, I'm sure they can afford the gargantuan contract he's going to be on).

Or not, I guess.

I have listened to almost nothing but Champions League preview podcasts all week. I've watched a ton of related YouTube videos as well. I'm wearing my Spurple Camouflage jersey at work today, and really just can't wait for gametime tomorrow.

Much has been said by Spurs fans of much longer standing than myself, but it is remarkable to think about how incredibly the image of the club would change with one win tomorrow. "Spursy" would go the way of the phrase "Clemsoning".

Honestly, win or lose, I'm thrilled with the year we've had, and the progress of the team. I hope the board shells out big time for reinforcements and Pochettino becomes the Wenger of Tottenham.

Come On You Spurs!

I'm also looking forward to tomorrow's game (got a gathering going to my local to watch it!) if for slightly different reasons. I am quietly confident, although I absolutely don't think a Liverpool victory is a forgone conclusion.

Without wanting to patronise Spurs, it's great to see another team that has built from the ground up in recent years get there rather than it be the big money spenders/galactico teams again. It should be a terrific game given the playstyles of both teams, but I do fear for Kane if he's not ready (seriously, we'll need him for the nations cup!) remembering what happened to Diego Costa a few years back.

May the best team win and all that.

I don't want Kane to start, because of coming off injury. I want Son and Moura.

I will be watching at the Houston Spurs' usual pub, unless they fill up before I can get there. If that happens I'll be frantically searching for another soccer bar to watch in. I have one in mind, but it's new and exceedingly popular as kind of a neutral ground for enthusiasts. I expect it will completely fill tomorrow as well.

I actually watched at the Liverpool pub last year since my buddy from work is a Liverpool supporter. Their place has issued wristbands for tomorrow.

As a Southampton supporter I will be watching tomorrow -- rooting for the meteor.

I like both of these teams, but will be pulling for Liverpool tomorrow.

Oh well... as a dutch I still have to process the (fair and square) loss of Ajax in the last 10 seconds. What a pity that Ten Hag didn't change his gameplan.

I might have a peek, and hope for a good match and that the best team will win.

I wouldn't say I'm pulling for Liverpool, but I am 150% rooting for Klopp.

Liverpool 8 - Spurs 0

Spurs lose so bad they get relegated to league 2. Not a bitter Arsenal fan or anything...

I just hope I get some time to watch it today. Should be a heavy attacking match.

Aw man, former Arsenal and Sevilla forward Jose Antonio Reyes died in a car crash at just 35.

Ugh

Really sad news about Reyes.

Come on Spurs.

Wow, Kane gets the start over Moura. I'm such Poch has his reasons, but if I were Moura, I'd be absolutely enraged. I'm sure he'll be a professional about it, but still.

Well, now we already know what one of the post-match talking points will be.

I wanted Kane on the bench, because of fitness. Bring him on at 60'. I'm sure Moura has been assured he's coming in.

The Houston Spurs pub is surely at capacity. It's nuts, and it's glorious. Tons of singing. This place is ready to rock!

Let's do this!

They're airing this on TNT in the States and I have the idle wish that the halftime coverage features Shaq and Charles Barkley.

Definitely feels like a three-week gap is too long to pay the final. The quality has been meh, like they're both out of rhythm.

Also, looks like that Sissoko pen was per the rules, but I don't think anyone particularly liked it.

How arm was clearly out, and in the box, but was that a deliberate handball? In the first minute? Come the f*ck on.

This Champions League final between two teams who aren't champions isn't very good.

Alright, you schmucks have wasted an hour of our time. You've got 30 minutes to make this memorable. Go.

ORIGI LOL.

Well, he was already never going to pay for a drink in Liverpool again. Wonder if he'll get something else now.

This game has been dire, either way.

Well, fart. GG ref.

Happy for Klopp. No idea who you'd make MotM for this? Van Dijk? Alisson?

I nodded off multiple times.

Liverpool gets something from their great season seems fair. Unfair is me never hearing the end of it.

Spurs trophyless since 2008 and counting. That's fine by me.

WALK ON WALK ON WITH HOPE IN YOUR HEART!

Yeah do not entirely sure that was a good final (it wasn’t) but Spurs offered nothing, Allison was immense and after everything else we’ve been through this season, we deserved that. Sorry. I think Spurs deserve a sh*t load more too, but maybe another season.

Whew, I'm glad we were in an English pub drinking English beer for that one. Beer definitely improved the whole thing. That first half was drab. Second half had more drama, for sure, but the match did not live up to expectations for excitement or quality.

Super glad Liverpool won, feels like a match that could have gone either way.
